KJW M9 cycling problem
I just pulled my KJW M9 vertec from storage and after gassing up, it doesn't seem to be cycling properly. It will fire when the trigger is pulled but the slide will not blow back enough to rechamber another round. The slide only comes back enough to put the hammer back to half cock but will not cock it completely. All the usual suspects; low propane, bad mag, worn/damaged seals, lubrication, rocket valve and such have been checked and ruled out. I have tried dry-firing the gun but the slide still refuses to cycle completely. I don't feel any significant resistance when the slide is manually racked so I doubt there is any obstruction. Anyone have this problem before?
thanks |

Light strikes on the mag valve due to a weak hammer spring?

what styrak said sound right! you could stretch it a little or buy a new one, it could also be a cracked loading muzzle or worn piston...

I seem to be having the same problem. I just ordered the King Arms complete spring set and a new inner barrel. A most troublesome gun, the KJW M9.
Busted trigger spring, inner barrel, mag flies out when I shoot and slide doesnt cycle completely... |

yep. that I did
Will place it on my next order tho :P I just got an AKs-74, have an MK43 and M16A4 on the way, along with some custom 1911 parts that cost more than the AK itself :P The mag catch will have to wait |

Yup. Had that issue with mine. You can always reverse the mag catch by selling the gun up for left-hand function. That's a stop-gap solution until you get another mag catch.

well i wont be using it anytime soon, got the 1911 as a substitute but thanks for the advice. Its actually a great gun, just wish I knew what I had to order with the GBB itself so I wouldnt have to buy the extra parts seperately.

also look at the inside of the loading muzzle for any cracks, this could explain the bad cycling

feck! the bb dropping out of the barrel was due to the hop up??!
Now I've got a new inner barrel on the way that I dont even have use for. |

Sorry to jack the thread but I seem to have the same problem on my kjw m9. Would someone please be able to show me which # part on this diagram http://tech.airsoftcanada.com/KJ/kj-m9s.jpg is the hammer spring and maybe even be able to tell me on how I can get to it? Thanks you!!
edit: i'm guessing it's part #51 but I would just like to be 100% sure. Last edited by j3anius; May 4th, 2009 at 17:30.. |

its number 51 to get to it remove grils if its the v model or the regular m9 go to were the lanyard look or were it should be press down on it a bit derictly above their is a pin you have to knock it out then the lanyar will come out or the cap on the vertech model after that pull the spring out replace and repeat steps

thanks for the reply
Well I've been trying to punch out that pin but it won't budge. Is it always that difficult for it to come out? |
