G&G M4 Or M16A3!?

Hey guys.
Im going to purchase my first ever AEG! and instead of just spending $100 on a low grade AEG as my first, i want to get a higher quality one. One that i can just upgrade instead of dropping $400 on a new one.

Well.. i've narrowed it down to the M4/M16 variant.
and i've cut it down further to the G&G series as they seem to have awsome 5 star reviews. (FYI, i do not care that the lower receiver is plastic or whatnot..)

Well.. i was thinking about getting the M4 since it can be upgraded like mad.. but then i was thinking that they are pretty over rated.. but then i was thinking hey, it's a bit compact not too long, not too heavy, pretty much just right.

But then i thought of the G&G M16A3.. and that thing is very sleek. i love the look of the M16's.. and if i wanted to in the near future if i get an M4 variant and i wanted a sniper rifle, i mean i could just mod the M16 into an SR-25. so there could be no down side here.

So.. then i decided i wanted your guys' opinion, Please?
(i am going to get them from buyairsoft.ca though. ill post the links of both below.. )

M4- http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=438

M16A3- http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=437

Thanks Guys.

I have their M16 A2, Beautiful gun. Lighter than my 416, and even completely stock it has amazing performance, I was offered money for mine when I let another player try it out (he had some mad expensively upgraded guns and really liked my M16). Also, both are mad upgradable. Big plus to the M16 is that fewer people use em, M4s are too common IMO.

Thanks for your help. =)

i think im going to go with the M16A3..
maybe throw a mock silencer, a rail on the bottom for a bi-pod and a sniper scope.. good idea, or no?

If you're just starting out, avoid things like mock silencers and bipods. They eat up budget you could be spending on other things, and provides little in return. You want to play with your M16 for several games before you consider mock silencers and bipods.

I advise against the silencer on the M16, I love silencers (combined with a sorbo pad they work wonders) and have one on my AK and on my 416 but even a short silencer is just too long on an m16. You'd have serious problems maneuvering it in anything other than a completely open field.

Well, to further the epitome of the M16, I suggest finding the longest silencer you can, a bipod, a huge carrying-handle mounted scope and fitting it all on. I'm sure you'll turn heads, and like somebody else said, it won't be at all normal =P

I agree that M4's are all too common, but instead I would refine this statement and say, poorly fitted and modded M4's are all too common. I was at an airsoft "convention" or event if you will not too long ago where there were TONS of M4's... but, alas, amidst all of these M4's ONE stood out and drew my attention, purely because it was realistically fitted.

lol After saying all that, you could go the opposite way, like I suggested, which is equally just as stunning =P

Hey thanks.
but yes, the silencer i was going to add if i decided to purchase and install an SR-25 mod. Or just make a custom SR-25 myself out of it..
