Dboys body and Magpul PTS mags

Hey folks...

As anyone with a dboys body is aware, it takes some tweaking to get everything to fit right, and from what I've read the magwell is a common issue depending on the type of mags you have. Yes even the newest dboys body have this issue as I own two of them and not to my surprise I found that all my mags except Magpul PTS mags fit.

So I started sanding the inside of the well out.. I mean really sanding it and the mag SORT of fit but still took a good bit of force to get it to sit inside the well. You shouldn't have to do this to get a mag in, and therefor that's a crap fit. I stopped sanding for a moment and took a look at the mag itself to see where it was rubbing. I hadn't noticed before that it wasn't only rubbing a bit on the front and back but on a little tab just below the hole in which your mag catch clicks into. The tab stick out a bit, just enough to make it problematic to get into this body.

I'm keeping these mags so I decided to test a theory on one of them. I sanded down that tab to be flush with the rest of the mag and voila. It fits the sanded body great AND.. it also fit my other dboys body that has yet to be sanded. Not a solution for every mag, but if you plan on keep your magpul pts mags, this works great and has no effect on the mag itself.

I've included a picture to assist my crappy description. The picture is a shot of a mag not sanded yet just to point out the spot I'm speaking of. See attachment.

Cheers.

I'll let ya know tomorrow as I haven't yet tested that out. lol. Batteries are all dead from plinking yesterday.. I was having feeding issues with them before when I had the smoked plastic receiver on but I was told that was most likely due to the retention lip in the mag being too thick. However, they sat low in that receiver and loose, in this receiver those mags seem to sit a lot better and just the right amount on "snug" to them.

All other reviews on the PMAG Magpul PTS mags I've heard have been very good.

Tried the PMAGS today. The retention lip definitely needs to be filed down a bit as if still doesn't feed.

hmm, just be carefull doing that, cause tons of times ppl accidentaly chop off/file down too much that the lips wont hold the bb;s in and just spit them out.

best of luck, im kinda tempted to buy these but I might go with the C8 setup insted (waffles)
