Upgrading a WELL L96
Hey guys,
I did a quick search concerning the WELL L96 and upgrades and nothing came up specifically regarding the WELL model. I'm curious to know which manufacturers' parts will be compatible with the WELL, specifically regarding tightbore barrels and hopup units. I'd like to increase its effective range (not maximum range, but effective range). Any thoughts? |

I'm pretty sure that all the parts for maruzen l96 are compatible, but I could be wrong.

I'm think so too, but I really want a 100% confirmation before I go looking into them...

Seems it's a clone, I imagine that it is a clone of the Maruzen, seems it's the best one. Better check up with someone who really knows though, although I'm almost sure..

Search more.
I did a detailed installation tread for LayLax/PDI/Maruzen parts in a Well L96. It is a clone. Google to see what a clone is, you will get your answer. (Short: Identical to the original.) |

Most maruzen parts will fit, though because the tolerances aren't as good they may not fit without a slight bit of tweaking.

You can order BA parts from oversea.
It costed me about 600$ in parts from RedWolf, WGCShop and Uncompany when I did upgraded my gun. Some parts still have to be changed (ie the bolt handle), but it is very cost effective to order from HK. btw, Maruzen magasinez fit perfectly in Well rifles, and they cost half the price when ordered oversea (15$ each vs. 35$) Actually I have the Well rifle on me right now, I have a BB jammed in my barrel. Might have to order a new tightbore. |

alright, here's what I've got in it so far:
PDI Hopup Chamber Deepfire 6.03mm 500mm barrell Prometheus hopup (hard type) PSS2 150sp Spring Laylax PSS96 Perfect Sniping System Spring Guide PDI Acceleration Piston I had to install the PDI hopup chamber a few times, since it was my first time. I've got it about right now though. I'm thinking I might upgrade the cylinder next. My options are the First Factory Teflon or the PDI Precision Lv3. Does anyone have any experience with either? |

I was thinking about that next too, but I'm not convinced that it'll improve the action enough to be worth $100 plus, and shipping and duty......
I saw a video on you tube , a guy bought a teflon one and the cylinder head threads didn't screw into the cylinder, not sure what make it was though. I purchased a Mad Bull barrel and Laylax spring from airsoftparts.ca - stellar service from those guys. Last edited by Malice Army; May 15th, 2009 at 20:26.. |

I installed a teflon cylinder on my last one, it perfectly hold 670fps. All on Laylax parts (except the spring), cost way less than PDI ^^
