Make one... Have someone stick their hand about a metre infront of the barrel of the tested weapon and have a microphone a few inches from their mouth connected to a decibel metre. Pull the trigger on said weapon and judge the volume of the emitted yelp to determine if the weapon will be passed through.
In the event that you don't have access to a microphone or a decibel metre, repeat the first steps... just this time instead of listening for the scream, watch for blood. If the chronograph draws blood, the weapon is deemed unusable during the game. :innocent:

Waivers. From EVERYONE who sets foot on the field. Then the ONLY way that you could get sued would be if there was a clear intent on your part to seriously harm someone. e.g. smashing a log over their head

FF stop wasting your time it is very apparent that this guy is going to do whatever he pleases despite the advise he has recieved that he originally requested....
another case of not recieving the answers wanted so doing it the wrong way anyway |
|
June 9th, 2005, 10:32 | #26 |
Oh he's taking the advice alright... but is also aware of the fact that he doesn't (or may not) have $30,000 laying around to do this legally. Do you?
The more fields the better too wouldn't you agree? If he wants to risk a lawsuit, let him... I probably would (and like him, would keep it to respectable people to prevent lawsuits as much as possible ) (I'm not sure about the Waiver thing though, I think that one might have gone completely over his head  )

I have not ignored all the advice given to me...i have just been looking for loopholes instead of forking up a couple grand. In the beginning this will be an "AT YOUR OWN RISK" field for individuals that i know personally or anyone here that understands that i will be running a *TEST* field.
As soon as i have some cash flow saved up and we have the field in working order, we WILL consult a lawyer and then open up legally as a business. But i doubt that will happen any time this year. Now, what type of theme's should i go with? Iraqi detention center, POW camp, twinkie factory, or attack on Endor?? lol |

Mix it up.
Some forested area/fields for Guerilla style fighting where vegetation cover is plentiful. Make sure hills exist so that we can use them in planning/strategizing. Just make SURE you've got some structures there for urban/close-quarter fighting. At least, that would make it desirable to both styles of fighting (And will thusly attract larger crowds since the field is multi-use) What have you got there now? large fields, a bit of forest too probably? I hope you've got a barn and shed somewhere nearby... building a small village from scratch is a bloody pain! I can help out a bit too, I've done my fair share of woodworking/construction (Studying for architecture too) PM me if you'd like
