Wait, so WE pistols are full metal, durable, propane ready out of the box and costs even less than a metal KJW Para or KSC 1911-derivatives? What's the catch? Is there a catch, or just the cool down issue?

No catch. Yet again a gun is released that is beautiful yet you still have people waisting time on TM plastic stuff. Where is the pride in owning a TM plastic Hi Capa when you could have this?

To be fair, there are indeed drawbacks. Gas consumption is greatly increased due to the weight of the slide. Even during regular temperature, you can fire the gun fast enough to run out of gas before you run out of BBs, even on a full fill. A lot of upgrades, even though they're technically compatible, don't work in the WE hicapa. Highflow valves cause the aforementioned problem to become even more prevalent, same with upgraded hammer springs. Upgraded recoil springs will cause a number of problems with feeding and gas consumption and the slide not locking back.

I've managed to consistantly empty the BBs from the Mag, it's a simple matter of taking it easy on the trigger. Just Double tap the guy and move on, don't go mad with the trigger. If you get into some mad firefight... just let the other guy burn his ammo. Be conservative... thats the key.

As for upgrades... HUH??? The damn thing is all metal and shoots 320+ fps on Propane. What on Earth needs to be upgraded?????????!!! LOL

Shooting down police helicopters, maybe? But another way around that is to use the CO2 mags.

OMG... with C02, you've effectivly killed it as a gaming gun. Thats 90-110psi, your talking just shy or over 400fps.

However, a regulated external gas rig (while ugly as sin) could solve the problem.

Because the manufacturing quality and tolerances on a Tokyo Marui piece are so much toighter. And toight = good.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

I can unload 2 full mags of rapid-firing with both my TM hi-capas, both with metal slides (one PGC Springfield slide, one Shooter's Design Hybrid slide) both with high flow valves and power bulbs installed (both of which increase gas consumption.) Both shoot 340-350fps on propane.

The pride in owning the TM piece is knowing that you have a quality piece in your hand, engineered from the ground up.
WE has copied that. If you've ever studied manufacturing, you'd know that copying something will never get you to similar tolerance levels as engineering it yourself. Not without many many revisions.

Here's an analogy:
There are MANY cars out there that can perform the same or even better than a Lamborghini. In that case, why buy a Lamborghini?
