One thing that does not add up is you guys forgot to add how much bickering your partner/significant other does when you decide to buy a new gun
Unless you found your significant other no ASC then you will be spending together Or you are single and your guns are your companions Luckily I get no bickering.... yet... Last edited by cbcsteve; October 1st, 2008 at 23:34.. |

counter strike costs 30 dollars. Radical when no one will allow you to purchase airsoft. No one allows me to purchase weed either.
Making counter strike more radical.

After I blew 10k, I never bothered counting anymore.
Fluid collection though, so I made some of that money back, only to spend it again. But this has been over almost five years. |

Airsoft is 10 times worse than a heroin addiction. Your first gun purchase is the beginning of the end...you can never go back.

I try not to keep track of how much I've spent on airsoft. Since this past spring, I've bought a TM Glock 17, UTG MP5, AGX launcher and 2 multi purpose nades, SRC M4, WE P14, HFC G17. Plus BDU's and other accessories and such.
Then the upgrades. The MP5 has a new front end making it an SD/A5 hybrid, extra mags for the TM G17, 1 x king nade, MB JP rifles 12" front end for the M4 as well as a TB and loads of mags. New GBB mags are on order. High output valves are also coming. In a span of 6 months, too much money was spent. I really don't want to know how much I've spent. I know what everything costs but I won't add it up. If I kept a running tally of what I spent, I'd have to shoot myself. Same goes with my camera gear and car parts. Won't add up what it all costs cause it'd kill me! |

iv been in and out of airsoft for about 7 years if i had never sold anything.
my bill would be somewhere between 35,000 to 40,000, but for the stuff i have now. its about 8,000 i wish i had all of it still i could use most of the guns as rentals.

Dito, and I think the "addiction" is much aggravated when you are a collector as well as a player, since the player will usually be satisfied with just the necessary to play the sport while the collector/player seems to NEVER be satisfied of what he/she has, and that is Airsoft Addiction at its worst (or best depending on how you see it)

I think counting is good, just do it. Puts things into more perspective its not as bad as you think, plus it lets you figure out if you want that gun or do you really need that gun?
I do it cause it makes me more level headed and my feet on the ground on what I spend, cause I never know when I may become one of those "Out of Airsoft Sale" guys or "I need money to pay Mortgage" guys. Don't want that happening :S But for now Student = no real steel Once Graduated = Real Steel here I come, can't wait Last edited by cbcsteve; October 1st, 2008 at 23:51.. |

Airsoft is expensive. $10K goes by real fast, $20K even faster.
But if you think spending $3K on a gun is expensive, don't get real steel. You barely get anything cool unless you start at $3K and go way up.

I refuse to count. I bet it could buy me a good used car.
