to upgrade a TM mp5 ras with a 363mm tight bore, would i need to upgrade they cylinder or put in a bore up kit?

unless ur going 455mm+ i think ur probably fine - u may lose a little FPS but I don't think it'll make a huge dent if any at all

If i wanted to get a bit more range out of it while im at it.. any recommended upgrades?
would a bore up kit for a m4 or a m16 give me any distance advantage?

The only reason for a bore up kit is an extremely long barrel, like 650mm or more. It's to push enough air for the volume in the barrel.

Why do you need a 170% spring?

Going to heavier BBs is the best and easiest upgrade for extra range and accuracy, especially outdoors. 0.28g minimum.

So for a 230> 363mm barrel there is no point upgrading they cylinder?

Is there any point in upgrading the piston head/nozel?
I have to rip it apart regardless to put in new bushings so just trying to find what all to order to spice it up a bit.

Would there be any disadvantage to getting a bore up kit? It seems to be cheaper to get the kit then to buy piston head/nozzle separately

Also right now im using .25 bbs, would .28 make a big difference?

A huge difference between 0.25g and 0.28g, longer range and better brush penetration.

And with a longer inner barrel, you won't need to change the cylinder as it's already ported, can handle up to 380mm inner barrel easily. Literally all you need to do is change your ammo weight, nothing internal to really benefit you unless it's broken.

Well that makes life alot easier!

Im going to put in a metal spring guide and new 7mm bushings (had to replace a cracked mech box and only had stock bushings)

So nothing else beside those parts? Just want to confirm before i place my parts orders.

That looks fine to do, not a lot required past that. What hop up rubber do you have in there currently? Maybe install a new one if it's a stock ****** type. I'd suggest a Guarder clear personally, have used them for years in both my MP5s and my sniper rifle.

Jugglez (airsoftparts) gets them in often.

i did that to my mp5 and the range went down sooo much so i put in a old kraken cylinder and that made the range way better but i am going to buy a ported one for the size of the barrel and make it a bore up

What part made you loose range? the cylinder or the tight bore?

Would an M4 bore up kit work best with a 363 mm barrel?

or should i do a m16 bore up kit and go with a 455mm barrel

I would ideally like the M4 one but its out of stock so i was debating this one > http://www.torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=66

How about this Bore Up Kit and either systema or mad bull 6.03/6.04 455mm barrel..

Would that be a good combo. the full cylinder/455 barrel should match not sure about the bore up part though.
