pulse gun from Redwolf airsoft
Any chance I'll be able to import the pulse rifle from Redwolf airsoft? http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol..._Pre_Order.htm
Before I get flamed, yes I am aware of Canadian airsoft laws but since the pulse rifle does not resemble any real firearm, I'm just wondering if it'll pass customs b/c its a sci-fi movie prop. I had a buddy order a 1:1 model of the pulse rifle as a wall hanger and he didn't have any issues with customs. Actually, under this line of thought, can I import guns that don't look like real firearms at all? Ie that JG made anime gun?

it has a trigger and can shoot bbs, doesn't matter if it looks like a real one, it will get stopped at the boarder

Not only that, but I've heard of Star Wars blasters replicas being destroyed at the border.
And blasters are made of two thin plastic halves that doesn't look at all like a real firearm. Either make it yourself (Lots of tutorials) or buy a real one already made in Canada and fit a airsoft in there. |

Then why do full gearboxs or power tools make it here if they have triggers

it might get through because it's not a real gun and doesn't look like one but if the guy inspecting it knows anything about that pulse rifle he knows that under the body kit its a replica thompson m1, and that would get it confiscated |

Ares has one featured in their 2010 catalogue. Just wait. I remember The Saint mentioning that Ares will be one of the companies that will be brought in via our laws, so just wait until then and get an Ares Pulse Rifle in Canada. It would probably cost less buying the Ares than buying that through a retailer.

I was wondering when another one of these threads would pop up. If my memory serves me correctly the most popular answers in regards to the importation of a pulse rifle leans towards "its a possibility" "maybe" and "no". It may not resemble any known real world weapon however many gun kits and airsoft guns that do not resemble real world weapons have been seized. A good example of this is attempting to import any body kits or airsoft guns that replicate the work of Masamune Shirow. IE a Seburo MN-23, it may not look like any real world gun but the chances of it getting seized are higher than it getting through, I speak from experience on that one.
FYI the CBSA was seizing full gear boxes a litte while ago, I cannot confirm if they are still doing it right now.

Sadly one thing with the Pulse Rifles, is they are infact real world (after a fashion), there are companies in the States that Mod Thompsons that fire real rounds which in my mind would increase the risk, I to would love one to. Hopefully once everything for the RS gets in order we can get them worry free

Perhaps it would work to hand import a conversion kit which doesn't look like a gun (Is in parts.) and mod a thompson with it?
