Neither are all that good, and the mags are a pain in the butt to find, and from what I've seen only Hicaps. I am unsure of mag compatibility with the CA or G&G, but I know they won't be compatible with the ARES.

I wouldn't recommend any JG or A&K so I won't recommend these. I would recommend getting the G&G, or the ARES. Both use standard sized V2 gearboxes, so all parts are compatible.

However, none of these are a possibility for you unless you are age verified! So I suggest you fill out your profile (location, etc), and find a rep near you.

IIRC both are CA clones, so they'd take CA mags.

Best choice hands down is the ARES, and I wouldn't take G&G since their mags and nozzle (maybe other things, I'm not too familiar) are proprietary and quite hard to find.

They sell em at WGC last I saw. I still have a set of the nozzle and hop up unit sitting around not doing anything... LOL.
But the G&G was a sweet gun.

CA build quality was better. I hated the trades on both of them. Inaccurate/ airsoft company trades annoy me to no end. They ruin the look of the gun.

I have an A&K SR-25...

Here's the mags that I use : http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/gandp-sr2...-sr25-aeg.html

I can't say anything about stock performance since it was a "project" gun, I started to upgrade it just after I had it in my possession. By the way, the A&K uses the same "long" gearbox as the Classic Army. Finding upgrades wasn't hard at all.

I prefer no trades than some BS trades that comes with the Classic Army.

The entire gun (except the stock) is full metal. Feels very solid.

One thing I don't like about the A&K is the full-auto feature.

Aww, it's a baby!? Seriously, the SR-25 needs to be AT LEAST as long as I am tall for it to look any good. Okay, maybe not 6'2", but the longer the better.

Well.. just because it's a clone doesn't mean it will take the mags. I had a G&G L85 clone that wouldn't even fucking feed with it's own mag, never mind any other magazines.

A&K usually isn't terrible... certainly nowhere near CA or G&P quality though.

In airsoft you get what you pay for. It's one thing where a more expensive item 99% of the time is, in fact, higher quality.

I wouldn't piss $250USD on an A&K SR25 even if that was the price being offered to me in Canada.

You said you checked the G&G and ARES... Did you check the G&G? Its pretty decent. And with a few upgrades or a new drop in box can be an absolute Machine.

yeah i checked the G&G. i like it alot, but its $405 us without any upgrades and i cant spend over $300 on a gun. I was interested in the A&k because the website says that it has been upgraded already
even the jg sounds like a good deal. do you know what gearbox it uses?
