Rubber Coated Mags?
i just got an idea . i was wondering if anyone sells/makes magazines that are lined with rubber on the inside, to prevent "BB rattle". i did a quick search which returned nothing, so i got thinking. for RC's (remote controlled cars) i would but a thing called plasti dip to "waterproof" the electronics on the truck.so what i was thinking, has anyone ever tried this stuff in a mag before? im not exactly sure how the internals are setup in a mag but if they are all like the one i have seen, then you could maybe open them up, take a brush and brush on some plasti dip, giving the mag thin rubber walls, reducing the sound of BBs clanking against the metal or plastic. any thoughts?

Midcaps are more fun and less hassle.

you'd be better off with midcaps. your dipped hicaps will still rattle.
I've never ran hicaps. Lows and mids only. I do like to use CA 130 round and S.Arms 170 round mags though. braaaaapppppppppp. Last edited by coach; March 23rd, 2010 at 17:19.. |

1. Throw your hicaps in the garbage
2. Buy lowcaps 3. ??? 4. Enjoy airsoft (and not "speedsoft")

I never understood highcaps. I hate the ones that come with guns. Since I've got a few guns that have transparent magazines, it's made all the worse. Plus, I've had bad experiences with high caps. They don't feed right all the time, winding that stupid wheel is frustrating.

But seriously, yes buy some lowcaps or midcaps. Much more fun and much more silent. You don't want to be labelled a a tactical maraca tickler do you? |

joke aside this plastic dip sounds interesting for other applications, like coloring a body, grips, etc...

they are to be used for testing your gun at home. it's 100% easier to wind a hicap mag and load it in the gun to fire of a few test rounds when in building or fixing mode. |

I have highcaps AND midcaps...but I have really been tempted to get staight midcaps soon. There is nothing better than someone slowly wakling towards the tree you'r behind saying "I'm gunna get you!" while you are fumbling a mag trying to reload.
