It is generally agreed upon the Star is of inferior qualitiy to the Ares model of UMP. Disbarring that fact, the star UMP could be quiet difficult to find in Canada, unless one buys used.
Which you could do once you have completed your age verification. Upon doing so I suggest you hit the classifieds and see if you can find one. Also it never hurts to check out the reviews on other sites, or even this one. |

Hum... sorry Rugger, STAR and ARES are exactly the same, ARES was the producer, STAR was the seller, no more no less.
I had several AEG from both STAR and ARES times, no differences at all. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

G&G, I LOVED mine, and nobody else had the compression issue I had (it shot 160-220 out of the box), but it was DEAD the hell accurate from day 1, regardless of fps
And once I slapped a piston head set in there, it had unbelievable range outdoors! |

I cant say anything for the gun but my experience with ARES is not so great. I Bought a drum mag for my AK that i was building up for a winter project. So after a wile with the mag and some shots in my room there was a nice day that came along and we decided to play some airsoft. I got about 150 shot's off with the mag with 1-3 second bursts.
it was sunny and the mag never touched water. Well after that the mag just quit on me. I thought maybe i had some bad batterys. So i put some new batterys in it and it still didn't work. So i gave it to my dad to look at hes a electronic technician. He took hes multimeter too it and told me the motor in the mag is toast. I'm not very impressed with it at all. It shouldn't of fried on me like that. So i contacted ehobby and because it was over thirty days since purchase i cant return it. I contacted ARES with no response. So just be wary about the quality of there stuff. This is my first ARES product and frankly i don't think i will ever buy another one. |
