help! no clear plastic lower receivers!!!
hey im a total noob here, and i want to find a decent gun that looks as realistic as possible. everything i find seems to have clear plastic lower receivers. ive also noticed at times it can be very difficult to determine by looking at stock pics if there is any clear plastic on a gun. can anyone recommend me a gun that doesnt have any of this crap on it? i want something that looks awesome, shoots awesome, and has potential for upgrades. im not overly concerned about spending a lot.

First thing to do is get age verified. For that, read the Frequently Asked Questions section. Then you can access the Retailer and Classifieds section for new and used guns.
Other than that we're not going to tell an un-AV'd member how to aquire airsoft guns. |

You can buy them from here in the classifieds. Go read the FAQ section, you'll find all the info you're looking for. |

Get AV'd and buy from the classifieds... like they said. also, if you didn't find any non-clear airsoft in canada for sale, you weren't looking hard enough.

The best you're going to get while non AV'ed is smoked lowers.
AV is the best option as it opens up a whole new world. As well you should budget minimum $450 for a gun and $150-200 for gear (all inclusive including a smart charger (if you get a "dumb" wall charger it goes in the garbage where it should be) and extra battery as well as BDU's and a few extra mags)). Comfortably though $800-900 is probably a better budget for entering airsoft but it can (and has been done) on ~$650 (as evidenced by me). So far though I'm about $900 in, $650 was just the most basic starting gear and a few more things that were "nice to have". PS: I'm a university student as well, just stop going to the bar and buying drinks for girls or w/e and don't spend money on stupid shit instead save it for airsoft stuff (I haven't had to take out student loans yet and I'm happy with that).

You are partially right about clear receiver guns while non AV'd. I'll explain, YES it is WAAAYYYY easier to get a solid "black" or full metal gun once AV'd here but you can still buy them from serval different sources within Canada (I'm not going to get into detail). Long story short you'll be paying a little more than it would cost you here. I did alot of research on where to buy fullmetal before my AV status was updated and I found a few places that sell them. (note all those places did require ID to order though.) <--- Just incase any of those kids with huge plots private land read this and start getting ideas.

To avoid these questions in the future, The Staff should make a "forced tutorial" for the need...where , right after they created an account, they have to read all the stickies before having access to any other function/sections on this website......
Or the first time you click on "create a new thread" it automatically goes to the "Noob FAQ" page :P |

glitchkrieg, you've been given several leads and direction to the FAQ section, which actually does answer about 95% of Newbies questions, ironically. Please take the time to read a bit more and please don't ask this question again.
