Problem with forums or scripting?
I'm having a problem getting an email address relayed to me via the PM's on the Airsoft Canada forums. The seller has sent me the address but it appears with some square shape in it.
csw@msn.com That's a partial email address I've cut and pasted from the PM, does anyone else see the square symbol between the cs and w? Thanks. Wayne |

This is bizarre. I tried it on a different computer, same problem. I'm on a work PC running windows XP Pro, service pack 2 with IE6 I believe. I'll have to check on my home PC tonight to see if it's a browser issue.

Okay, I just tested it with IE6 and I do see it (although it doesn't show up in Firefox on the same machine)
Anyone not seeing it (Firefox, etc) try copying the address and pasting it in Notepad: the square in question will magically appear. Dunno what the deal with that is; ask whomever to resend the email address properly.

I'm able to see the email address in Chrome, with no spaces and no square.

Thanks everyone. If it is a browser problem, I can't update software on work PC's or I'd already be running IE8. I also cut and pasted the address into the To... box in an outgoing email and it added the square, but when I tried pasting it in the body of the email it wasn't there.

You could get a portable firefox or such program and run it off a flash drive. It doesn't leave anything on the computer and you can carry around your favorites etc. I think it was like 15 mb
