upgrading my ak105

i just bought a cyma ak105 , i just opened my mechbox, and noticed alot of plastic

plastic bushings
plastic air nozzle
plastic spring guide
plastic piston head/piston



what do i have to get replaced for it to perform better ?
on a tight budget right now, what should i get first ?

also should i get a new barrel ?.... my bb's are not shooing straight even though my hopup is set the lowest

also should i replace my gears ?


ps. planning to put a 9.6v battery in my gun

Hop up should be set to something NOT to none or lowest.

What kind of accuracy are you expecting? This is airsoft and not like a pellet gun at all, you should expect the same performance as a musket rifle in terms of accuracy as it's the closest analogy you can get because they're both smoothbore guns that fire spherical objects.

Go with modify parts if on a budget, http://www.modify.com.tw/ cheap price but good performance for what you pay.

BUT first get a good hop up and nub then a new barrel and you'll see a big difference. Then go with compression unit (piston, cylinder, piston head, etc.) to make it more consistent.

Also do not upgrade the spring, stock most clone guns fire at a pretty good level for outdoor play (~370-390 FPS on .20's) and remember it's a limit not a goal.

You shouldn't really need to change anything unless it breaks or you know what you want to change or how you want it to perform differently.

Yea.. use it before upgrading it.. otherwise you wont get a feel for what you need to upgrade.

You want to keep your piston and your piston head plastic... Full metal pistons and piston heads are only asking for trouble if your gun is an out of spec-clone.

Do things really need replacing right now? Either way I shall provide answers to your original question.

Replace the bushings with a quality brand that fits. There are lots of companies out there that make bushings, I will let you decide which brand works best for you. Brands like modify and Prometheus are good.

A new bearingspring guide would probably go a long towards adding longevity to your mechbox.

When your budget is a little better consider replacing all compression related components with something a little more up the ladder in quality. Replace the cylinder, piston, pistol head and nozzle. However...about your nozzle... feel free to replace it if you wish, just because its not metal doesn't mean its bad. Most nozzles are made of some form of plastic.

Bare minimum I would say is a good set of bushings, a bearing spring guide and a good quality hopup rubber to go in your hop up. I would peg that in at about $40CAD.
