CA G36C selecter switch ...

I want to find out if there's a way to change the selector switch on a CA G36C, it doesn't stay in place, and i keep moving it while gaming. it doens't "click" inplace!!! Is there a way to make it like the TM on so it will click in place and i wont keep hitting it! Thanks!

I think there may be a problem with the switch itself. There's a little nub or ball that is held on by a spring. If that ball or nub is missing, it will no longer click into place. Either that, or the receiver is worn down so the ball or nub doesn't have a definite hole to help click the selector into place.

I've had some issues with different brand selector switches on different guns. You might need to dremmel a little bit to make it fit but otherwise it should work.

It is not the switch that is the problem. The problem is that the plastic body of your G36 has been worn down by the much harder metal ball bearing. The area the ball rides in has been leveled out by the ball. Because of this the divits are not as deep as they used to be causing your problem.

How to fix it?
Like Jtf2 said, take a dremal and CAREFULLY deepen the hole. This should solve your problem

Hey Anywear, were you able to fix this issue about the loose selector switch? It happens on my TM g36c also. It will "click" into the safety position, but it runs loose between the auto and semi. I opened up the gun and followed jordan7831's suggestion, but I don't know where the metal ball bearing is. There is nothing broken or loose at or around the selector switch that I can find.

Any input is appreciated.

You don't need to take apart the gun to get at the bearing. Just remove the setscrew on the underside of the selector and the switch should come off. The bearing and the spring will be underneath.(beteween the selector and the grip). You should see 3 holes and probably a groove connecting them. Fill the groove and holes with epoxy and re-drill the holes. Re-assemble and your done.

I did what you said. After taking off the hex screw and taking off the switch, there is no spring and ball bearing underneath it. I do see the 3 little holes there. I bought the gun used and it came like that. I guess what I need is to look for a place that sells the ball bearing and the spring. Any suggestion as to where I can find them?

I may end up buying the whole selector switch set, sold at evike for $16. In the picture below, I see the spring, but not the bearing. Unless that yellow piece there is the ball bearing?

I don't really know what the yellow piece is. It is definately not a ball bearing. It could be a plastic spacer designed to do the same job but I would recommend the ball bearing because it won't wear the body out as fast. Airsoft parts has one http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=310. A little more expensive, but it's definately the one with the bearing and I trust them over Evike.

The entire family of G36 have exactly the same parts except for the hand guard, barrel, and top rail. There may be some fitment issues beteween brands but nothing that can't be shaped to size.
