CF Issue CADPAT Sizes
Could anyone tell me how large the CF issue CADPAT sizes are? I am particularly interested in the sleeve length of the shirt.
The size 7040 shirt is intended for a body height of 170-180 cm (although 70'' = 177.8 cm) and a 7340 intended for a height of 180-190 cm (73'' = 185.4 cm). Right? Now... if I am c. 180 cm tall, but with slightly long arms, what would be the ideal size? How long are the sleeves of the 7040? Is the length ample enough so that this isn't a problem anyway? Any advice would be welcome. |

Could someone with a CF issue CADPAT shirt size 7040 just check the sleeve length (from the shoulder seam) with a tape measure...? Would be grateful for the same length info from the 7340 as well.

i don't have a 7040 but i have a 6939 and the arm is 2ft 2inchs, but if they meet you recommended higeht then go for it, i work supply and most always, about 8/10 times the recommended size works.

Thanks for the reply!
Ok, then hopefully the 7040 has a sleeve length of at least 66 cm (2'2''). Yes, I agree that recommended sizes usually do fit, but this was a classic "between sizes" case... |

@Armyissue
Yes, I thought the 6939 sounded a bit odd. You told me about the size standards of the CADPAT shirt just the other day via e-mail... I have now been told that the 7040 (body height 170-180 cm) has a sleeve length of 62 cm. That is in line with the German Flecktarn uniform where the short sizes for height 165-175 cm apparently have sleeve length 61 cm and regular sizes for 175-185 cm should have sleeve length 64 cm (though all mine have 63 ) Armyissue, could you confirm the 7040 sleeve length or tell us the 7340 sleeve length (from the shoulder seam) if you have one? @Ripperman79 Yes, I will tell you. |

@Ripperman79
The sleeve length of the 7040 shirt turned out to be just fine. |

You both know that it is a crime to own issued CADPAT uniforms if not in the Canadian Forces, right?

i'm not 100% sure if it's a crime to own or wear the cadpat uniform unless you wear ranks, insignia or claim to be a CF member, i know it's illegal to sell cadpat pattern uniforms without licencing....

as for the sale - its a copyright issue, if you do not hold the copyright or have express consent from the holder you cannot sell CADPAT. The issue is discussed more here : http://forums.army.ca/forums/index.p...c,25680.0.html
