Real P226 Parts in a KSC P226 (System 7)

So I'm positive that this isn't a new idea as it's common place among WE M4 users, but it's something I would like to confirm with the real steel shooters / KSC enthusiasts out there...

Long have I heard that certain KSC guns can take certain real steel parts (the trigger in the USP, for instance). Having looked at the KSC parts diagram (albeit hand drawn...) many of the parts in the airsoft gun are appear directly modeled after the real steel P226 parts. I realize that the only real way to find out is to just order the parts and test fit each... but:

Does anyone have any experience with dropping in real pistol parts into an airsoft pistol?

Lastly, I have below a list of parts I suspect will work with little to no modification in the KSC P226. What are the legalities with ordering any of the parts on the list, with regards to customs and ITAR.
NOTE: I do not have my PAL / RPAL.

You only need a RPAL to buy the lower frame. That's it.
All the other parts should come through fine. If you're buying them from the US, I have no idea if US export restrictions apply to any of those parts. I don't think they would...

I predict that some parts will be a little bit off in terms of dimensions. Sanding will probably be required.
KSC in all probability does copy some parts from real steel, as theres no reason why they shouldnt. Something like the mag catch system could be identical in terms of overall shape and size, but manufacturing process might make them a little off spec anyhow.

Unfortunately, the TM, KJW, and KWA/KSC guns have internals that differ from the RS version. For example the top of the trigger is different, as well as the trigger return spring. The main (hammer) spring and seat are different, although there is a guide somewhere for fitting RS grips that goes over modifying to get the main spring seat to work. The springs will also be much harder, and I'm not sure if they will work that well. The hammer (main) spring, for example, is very strong and will put pressure on the slide, so I don't know if the slide will cycle fully.

Comparing the two side by side, it also appears that the TM P226 is slightly smaller (comparing to my new OPS Tactical P226.)

The Tanaka guns are faithful reproductions of the RS versions, but there again I don't know if parts interchange easily.

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't be replacing these parts without reason... I often play games in the rain, and have had springs and such, snap even after cleaning.

In the future I may put together a gun with nickel accents, but for now, it's repair maintenance I have in mind.
