Jing Gong MP5 front ends

I have a JG MP5 SD5. Originally I liked the suppressor for the extended barrel I could hide inside it, but instead of making the gun a jack of all trades I've decided to just buy a dedicated field gun and turn the MP5 into what it should be, a solid CQB gun. To that end, I need to shorten this thing up, starting with the SD front end.

I was looking through the CA body pieces on 007 and noticed there were different front pieces for SD and non SD models. Will I need to change my cocking tube as well, or is the SD cocking tube I see on the site an optional kind of thing you could use purely for making it look more authentic?

Also, I've been leaning more towards the RIS style fronts than the A4/A3, but most (or possibley all) of them look like the kind that attach to A4 or SD fronts. When I had first started airsoft, I was looking at the G&G MP5 G5 (or something along those lines) that had a fully encased front RIS, but I'd heard terrible things about that model. I'd like to find a part like that, but I've never seen them anywhere else. Am I just not looking hard enough?
