New to Airsoft

Hey i am new to airsoft, I am still a minor but I need an opinion I am trying to decide between these two airsoft guns a KWA M4A1 and a CA P90 Proline.

KWA M4A1
I heard good things about this other than the piston that sometimes breaks, other than that I have not heard many negitive things.

CA P90 Proline
I am unsure about this gun as I have read a fair bit of mixed reports on it but I really like the P90 look and the feel of the P90.

What i am asking is that which one would you choose out of the two that would give me the least problems and is durable. Also i am open to other choices and your opinions.

Thanks for the help

since you're a minor, save your money and wait til you're 18. By then, there will be more new/better guns for you to decide.

First thing you need to figure out where to play. Contact local fields to see if they wil let you on.

Where do you live?

Also, check the links in my signature.

Neither, wait until you are 18 and save your money until then.

Just wondering, do you want to spend over 400 $ in a gun that you would most likely not being abled to use? Seriously, check out the games around your area before doing something stupid.

One thing is that the paintball field you asked accepts minors TO PLAY PAINTBALL. However airsoft is an other story since 95% of the games are 18+.

Criollo, I accually doubt he would mistake an airsoft field with a paintball field, especially in the scenario that he calls them and asks, "Do you have restrictions on minors playing airsoft on your field?"
If he's from BC I know for a fact that the guys at Poco military supply offer games to anyone over 16.

Awww... b-slice you lost my respect already... u r nub! u get awp frome AV in klassifi3dz sekshun or fore ch33per u bai fr0me yu ess aye. n 500 ef pee ess iz 2 low u shuld plae with 750 ef pee ess g3t m3lded spr1ng.

And there actually is a basis for 18+ getting guns (and it's only a preventative site policy not entirely law across the country). In Ontario (and only there AFAIK) it's actually illegal to sell to minors (I believe it's prosecuted in civil court (ie. harsh fines) rather than criminal court (ie. jail time)). As for age, 18 is when you can't hide behind your parents. So you become legally responsible for yourself. You may still be an immature douchebag at 18 but at least if shit goes down then it's your ass on the line not your parents who will then go to blame airsoft and band together with other hoplophobes and get it banned.

Anyways. To the best of my knowledge it's actually the local clubs in Van that let 16+ play (with waiver signed in front of admin only, no presigned shit).

OPs location originates from Red Deer AB.

Hello Krellan

If you would be so kind as to add your location to your user profile that would be fantastic, thank you kindly.

Be warned, due to the nature of Airsoft; ASC, its staff and majority of its members stand by the ideal that airsoft should only be bought, owned and used by those are have reached the age of majority in Canada (18). While we may not condone it, we understand we cannot prevent it. So the best we can hopeful is that youth will respect this websites rules or at least attempt to understand them.

That being said.

Purchase whatever you would be more comfortable with.

Armalites generally have more bells and whistles you can tack on, as well as a longer inner barrel and multiple ways to accessorize your front end and stock.

P90s are nice guns, internals and specs aside the only thing I have to offer on P90 is that it can sometimes be difficult to acquire a certain capacity magazine as well as find suitable pouches for magazines.

That is all I have to offer.

Well said, Tokyo
I haven't seen any airsoft P90's in person but would the magazine have fake bullets in it? Subjective, of course, to whatever brand of mag you use but in my opinion I don't think the 'fake-bullets-in-the-mags-of-guns-that-use-translucent-mags' is too attractive... I guess unless it's pulled off right.

B-slice, your question above is alittle confusing. P90's have 3 following mags, low cap, mid cap and high cap. All low caps have fake bullets in them, physical ones not paper ones. They are 68 rnds each. Mid caps can hold 140 ish rnds and are usually translucent or black. Now high cap's hold 300 rds and have to be winded. What I have found is that mid and high cap mags are very touchy, they can feed very welll or just be shit overall
(misfeeds, etc) I tend to suggest low caps but its up to the player.

Now for the gun, internally it is one of the easiest guns to open up and remove the gearbox. Parts can be easily found if your gun does break down.

Externally, the gun is meant for more smaller built people as after all it is a CQB gun. The body is made of avs plastic like the real thing and receiver is made of metal mostly, however a plastic receiver is made for the canadian version (more below)

Mag pouches and dump pouch are usually the hardest to find for this gun so be aware.

the most widely available p90 out there is the CA cansoft version (tinted upper receiver).

Best thing you can do in the future if you have questions about a gun it search for an review on the review section here on ASC or youtube!

Sorry to take this thread over, I tend to write to much when I'm on my phone. Anyways like t7 said, follow the rulers and you won't have people crawling up your asses with flame covered hate.
