My pistol is shooting gas out... (A.K.A venting)
Hey there! Long story short, here is the problem.
http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...=problem-1.mp4 Any idea why it's doing that? Thanks. Last edited by highny; October 31st, 2010 at 00:25.. |

95% chance it's a lubrication issue. When was it lubed last and where inside the gun?

How many mags are doing that? One or all three?
Are you letting them warm up to room temperature before shooting? |

flow valve is sticking or being stuck open.
break down the pistol. clean it and re-lube it. drop a couple drop of silly oil in the the top of the flow valve and one or two around the back. (the button like thing on the back of the mag that the hammer/striker hits) work the valve in and out. |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

its not the flow valve, the slide is jamming, the shot when it vents you can see the slide goes back a quarter inch and stops

Slide is not sticking, it shoots 2 shots perfectly before venting.
Remove the BBU and check for a broken float valve or bent spring. Also check for cracked nozzle. Theses work on negative pressure, so if there is a leak before the end of the cycle, it will start to vent right away... or simply not blow back. |

uhh.... yes it shoots fine twice, then jams... if it were a cracked nozzle or broken rocket valve the first two shots would be impossible
anyways, seeing as its a KJW, Id guess that the slide is getting jammed on the outer barrel before the lugs disengage and it gets stuck before it trips the knocker disconnect, so it vents all the gas |

Mags not fully charged with gas?

Hey there!
Thanks for the help guys and I did what some of you mention. I disassemble the whole entire pistol(almost lost darn small spring in the hammer assembly)and gave it a whip and use silicone oil/grease to re-lube. After-wards, I disassemble my 3 mags, took the bottom part off and then the top(lip) off. added silicone oil to the seals. I also added a drop(or two) of silicone oil into the valve. I used some grease on the outside of the valve part to make sure the button didn't stick. After I got everything back together. I manage to get roughly 7-10 dry fire, 3-4 bb fire before venting... This weekend I got a chance to use a friends TM1911 mag, and it worked like a charm. Shot 10 shot before running out of gas(He did a few shots before hand). So I did a bit of research when I got home. Turns out that on ehobby website. The mags I got says "Take HFC 22 Gas out of the box". Now I'm carious to know if that's the only type of gas it'll take to make it work? Here's the link to the mags on ehobby. I also took some time searching for valves. Their very expensive... Some valves are almost as much as the mags itself.... Why is that?... Thanks for all the help! I held the propane in place for about 10-12 second... I'm pretty sure that's how long it usually take. Maybe overfill some might say. But I do listen to the propane tank and the mag to make sure it's fully charge(or stop flowing). Quote:
I testing my pistol in the basement, so after I fill them up, I sit on them for a min or two to make sure their warm enough... Or at least to freezing cold. Also, forgot to mention. The 1911 is a KJW KP-07. Last edited by highny; October 31st, 2010 at 00:40.. |

HFC 22 = Green Gas = Propane
I don't know what specific issue is causing your problem, but you're charging your mags too long. There's no need to charge these mags longer than four seconds. Edit, when you shake your propane tank, do you feel liquid? Last edited by Kid; October 31st, 2010 at 01:13.. |

You can't overcharge mags... it juste waste a bit of time, but personally I prefer to be sure it's full than run out of gaz after 5 shots.
