ALl questions can be answered above ^ however i'll answer you anyways since i don't feel like being a regular ass tonight.

A: If you are talking about a sniper rifle stay clear of them. You must take a course to become a marksman, but even then sniping is not like COD or any video game. You must have a crap load of funds put into your loadout (Ghillie Suit) as well as gun. You will have to upgrade it to get it to its highest performance level.

I suggest you get an AEG, all beginners do.

i was wondering what the deal was with the masks do you have to use them or can you just use shotting glass are fields different with the mask rules or is it all the same
A: Most fields atleast here in Ontario (PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR LOCATION INFO it helps us with answers) enforce a Paintball goggle only rule due to the fact that we mostly play at paintball fields. Now the full face mask is not necessary HOWEVER I suggest it if you don't want to lose teeth or take a BB to the face

what is a hop up (sorry i bet it sound retarded)

Like I said most questions can be found in the FAQs or if you use the search bar. NOW MANY will say get Age Verified or AV'ed. To sum it all up it is worth it in the end, trust me all the rest of ASC when I say that, we support AV'ing 150%.

NOW YOU MUST be 18 aka a legal adult to be AV'ed so if you are underage most of us suggest you wait till your 18 to even start this sport as most retailers here will not sell to underage children anyways.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER! buy from EVIKE, OR BUYAIRSOFT.ca THEY ARE ALL KNOWN FOR FRAUDING MILLIONS OF CUSTOMERS HERE ON ASC AS WELL AS ALL OVER THE WORLD. THINK THEM AS BEING WORSE THEN THE DEVIL.

Also you CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT import, bring over, or get shipped over any guns from outside of Canada, UNLESS you have a Prohibated Gun License. You can google more on that and ASC about why you can't.

I think I covered most things, I hope.

Any questions, FAQ and search bar check them before posting

1) Spring rifles need a lot of money dumped into them in order to be good. Think of it like you're using a stock class (pump) gun while everyone else will be using full auto/electro guns.

2) Highly dependant on field but paintball venues stipulates ASTM approved goggles. Now whether or not they will allow the mask part vs no mask part is a different question (some do others don't). If you have a mask ideally it would be one of those "modular" ones with removable panels so you can customise it.

3) Hop up is a rubber nub that puts backspin on the BB so that it can get further range. It basically works because of the Magnus effect or something (put backspin on the BB because the BB passes the rubber nub and gets squeezed).

A good place to start is to get AV'd and check out the Retailer Section here on the forum. They are very reputable and stand by there products.

Also, there is a Classifieds section as well, but it is only accessible if you are Age Verified.

Cheers,

Sorry that's where our help ends.

It's forum rules to not assist unverified members (even if they're 18+) on external websites to buy from. You'll have to find them on your own. It's not hard or anything you just need to lurk a bit and do a bit more work to finding them.

To answer your question, do not buy from Shootsoft.ca, it's like giving your money to someone on the street...you'll NEVER get your item from them...

Buyairsoft is known to have a better reputation now, but you could indeed find slightly better deals here on the forum....

There's also Capitalairsoft, Velocityarms, and chix airsoft which are also good retailers....

PS: To the other flaming forum vets, C'mon guys, this is Canada, a free and capitalism country, he has the right to shop where he wants....

PPS: Welcome to the great world of airsoft! :P

You don't need to be verified really but it helps so you have access to more and better guns other then what is available on the sites you will find through google.

Also with paintball the guns really don't look like replicas where as in airsoft they are replicas.

It's all in the FAQ, but yeah, basically, airsoft is a in a grey area of the law, and with all those Call of duty kids out there that just want a gun to go play in the streets with there friends (which is potentially dangerous for the security of the public, and for this sport's reputation) the age verification system will prevent them from buying most of the guns...

Paintball has been around for a longer time, and it doesnt really look like a real gun = you couldnt rob a bank with one... ppl would laugh at you... btu with an airsoft gun, they look really real, and could be also used in criminal situations....
