NcStar AK-47 scope mount?

Hello all,

One again, the age old question of AK-47 scope mounts.

I was just snooping around crosshairs.ca, and I came across this scope mount (or more accurately, receiver cover) for the AK-47 http://www.crosshairs.ca/product/NcS...o.%29MTAK.html.

My question is, would this work on airsoft AKs? And in particular, Aftermath Krakens?

Oh, and just to slip another question in here - has anyone used Nc Star gear before? Are they any good?

It'll probably work, but it probably wont be accurate, most ak top covers sit rather loose, and wont hold a zero.

With the scope mounted on the AK cover (at least with airsoft, as i have 0 RS experience) you might as well not be using a scope with the accuracy you'll get. The ones Ive seen that work are the clamp style.

Will only fit on a Realsword AK.

You're better off getting a railed handguard and installing a doctor sight. Unless you want a rifle scope, in which case you should buy a different gun.

I've got a better idea than anything in this thread, assuming you've got a metal body with a Com-Bloc rail on the side.
http://www.airgunwarehouseinc.com/py-a-931.html
It mounts to the side rail on an AK, and has 2 standard Picatinny rail points on it.
EDIT: Even if you don't have one already installed, you can buy the side base and mount it yourself.

Good luck mounting that on a plastic body. And since he's not age verified he can't get access to a metal body good enough to mount the rail on. However, you can find a AK mount that mounts just in front of the mag well. At worst you'll need to find longer screws.
Ak top handguard rail is the most practical and easiest to find.
