So...can someone talk to me about this MP7?

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/gallery...2_itemId=51866

From SHOTshow2010. Since I've been on the lookout for a cheap MP7 I can buy a pair of...this looks like a godsend.

Can someone tell me where to buy it in Canada? Since it's transparent I figured it should be easier to find. A quick review wouldn't hurt either, though obviously performance is a secondary concern here. I'd like to know who the OEM was and how reliable it is, s'il vous plait.

Thanks!

PS. Yes, it's so I can go guns akimbo with them. Feel free to judge silently, or out loud if you so prefer.

Akimbo, seriously?

Fff.. Call of duty..

Anyway, These Mp7's are pretty trashy. With AEP's its pretty much TM or bust. And even then, AEP's are less than desirable. I own a TM VZ61 which had some magic-work done it by our local guntech. And even being upgraded to this extent it wouldn't be able to compete with AEG's unless in CQB.

With these Clearsoft clone POS the quality control is horrible, and materials inside are cheap and brittle. Don't expect these things to last very long should you look to use them extensively.

I've heard a lot of good things about GBBR Mp7's from KSC And KWA. But here those can run up from 500 - 700 dollars. Going 'Akimbo' would be less desirable, especially when magazines are quite costly themselves.

As for where to buy? I'm not too sure, I know some retailers stocked them at some point, but it didn't last too long.

K, thanks for the info. Obviously I'm not looking to use them extensively, but probably good for a laugh pulling them out in a pistols-only game or something. I think expecting a $100USD, semitransparent AEP to compete with an AEG would be rather wishful thinking on my part.

And, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I feel incredibly OG pointing out that before Call of Duty there was

Honest question. How much rage and frustration is involved in answering a question like this?

Without being age verified, we don't help or advise people where to find guns.

Edited for clarity. Thanks Ritz.

For a few magic months I had a couple KWA MP7s. I never ran 2 in game though.

In game one is more than enough, and it's good enough to act as a primary in a lot of situations.

If you want to make it more fun hang a tracer unit off the muzzle.

Dual Glock's has been done. Reloads are a breeze if you have a custom dual hands free reload system. Not really practical but great for that hollywood moment in a skirmish.

ie lara croft mag holders on her back? lol it's doable of course. I've wanted to do it too, but aside from lols its not worth much in airsofting...and short of that custom reloading system, dumping old mags into dumppouch, picking up new mags and inserting them into each gun (with a few fails mixed in) is pretty much a 5 minute affair.

and all that for a bump in volume of fire :P

Custom reload rigs, big mags, whatever.

You'll still end up looking like an idiot. Haha.

Yes, they did actually! Good eye. The weapon designer of Halo was a big gun nut actually, and the SMG in Halo was clearly based on the MP7.

Yeah, airsoft players are a lot harder to impress with antics than the rental kiddies at paintball, heheh.

Wait, not even clearsoft? Now I've really gotta go to a game.

If everything was about tactical advantage and technical practicalities, we'd all drive the same car (a Honda), live in the same city (Vancouver), and own the same gear (Systema M4s and woodland camo).

It's a game, so why not have a bit of personality to it? I mean, I'm not blowing you guys off. I'd be entering into this "buy dual MP7s" arrangement knowing that it is impractical, quite silly, and will make me a laughing stock by serious players. But some people put spinning rims on their Honda Civics...so.
