KWA USP .45 [KP45] NS2 Troubleshooting, HELP!!

ive had this USP for a little more than 4 months, if that, and ive already run into some problems that I havent been able to solve on my own. i was hoping someone here could shed some light in on my situation:

The Impact block that makes contact with the magazines gas release valve does not line up properly once i insert the magazine and cock it...basically maiming my gun useless. The only possible way to make it work is if (sometimes) i cock the gun once before the magazine is loaded, insert the mag, and then cock it again to chamber a round. This of course, is quite the hassle.

And another minor detail, the slide seems to be somewhat more tense as if there is alot more tension on the slide. Ive applied oil to any contact parts that the slide makes with the pistol grip, as well as the internals including the impact block to lessen any possible stiffness. Though tried for several times, i have not had any luck.

The gun no longer makes its notorious cocking sound thats sharp and pleasant to the ear, and has now been reduced to some monotone metal pop-souunding release i guess having to do with the spring pushing the slide forward.

can anyone help with this urgent matter?

Maybe one or both of the BBU have come unhooked.

Pull the slide off and pull the BBU back and forward with your finger. Does it have a nice snap or is it sluggish?

You can pull up a parts diagram here so you can see the springs. http://store.kwausa.com/images/diagrams/gbb/KP8_NS2.jpg

yes the springs and such are all ok. Its not the spring mechanic thats the problem. ive taken a look from all possible angles that i can, and its the impact block strictly.

There is a good snap to the slide, no doubt about that. However the gun wont arm itself properly to shoot due to the impact block resting just above the gas release valve.

once the trigger is pulled and the impact block moves forward, it just moves right above the gas release valve, and the gun doesnt fire.

I keep a couple pictures handy just for this situation. Are you talking about the wedge shaped right at the back edge of the magwell?

yes, that wedge shaped metal thing (impact block) seems to be the main problem with the gun, as that is the piece that strikes the gas release valve on the mag. instead of properly re-aligning itself with the release valve directly, it rests on top of it, and when fired it just moves right on top of it.

ill supply you with pictures when i can, to show you what i mean

Perhaps the spring that holds it down is broken or missing?

I had a similar issue with my KSC USP (which is the same as a KWA). It had a blown O-ring inside the gas piston. It would half cycle, or half cycle and dump all the gas from the mag and not cycle at all. Dropped in a new piston and it was all good.

If you know anyone with another pistol like your try flipping slides/frames and see if you can pick up some more info on the problem.

Pistol is now mine so I'm going to try and swap mags and see what happens. Also, the gun fires even when the safety is on. Could this be part of the problem?

I think the weak safety is a bit of normal problem. I got mine used also & it was absent at that point. I carry it hammer down and haven't had a ND, same with my 226.

Noticed something just now while troubleshooting, when the impact block is forward, there is spring tension on it keeping it down, but when it is back there is friction on it preventing the spring from doing anything. Is this normal?

Sounds like Danke had the right idea, the spring could be damaged. Possibly a problem with part 80 or 84 in the diagram provided.
Another theory, from experience with a KJWGlock27 having issues with the knocker (impact block) was that the relative part 25 on the diagram was broken and needed to be replaced.

I don't think that matters.
