WE M1911 Bushing and Plug
So my Barrel Bushing and Spring Plug is trashed...
I need a new one, to my understanding, WA and real steel are my only option... This guy fit a real steel bushing on his m1911: http://airsoftportal.ph/forum.html?f...tid=108&id=207 Would this bushing work?: http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-45-Barrel-B...5acbd52d1#shId What about this real steel spring plug?: http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-45-Stainles...item35aa0c2ff4 Could anyone help me by posting some links of some parts that would fit? P.S. Im in the US FYI .... Thanks, Nathan Last edited by njo; March 11th, 2011 at 17:13.. |

I'm not sure about those parts but just a heads up, your mag catch is also prone to breaking.

Made of the same pot metal and the design of the mag catch is thin.
My friend bought a TM 1911 mag catch but it doesn't fit. He then took a dremel to it and got it to fit but now it won't hold the WE 1911 mags. Just for shits, we tried a TM 1911 mag (since it was a modified TM mag catch) but it still didn't work.

I never replaced either, I caught the problem with the plug before the brushings could break. I wound up using a couple rubber stoppers along the lip of the plug like speed buffers to dampen the force of the recoil. A little research turned up something interesting; you can apparently use a spent .45ACP shell as your plug. I have one shell but I no longer have my WE1911 to confirm this.
In the end, I just gave up on this gun.
