Magpul MOE Stock with ICS buffer tube

Hello,

I would like to get rid of my crane stock on my ICS 47 (M4 CQBR).
I would like to know if the buffer tube is compatible with Magpul stocks, especially the MOE one. ( http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG400/82 )
And as I have to change battery, could I put a NiMh one in the tube or is it too long to fit inside? I mean this : 8 cell straight 9.6V http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/ima...st_8-small.jpg

I am open to all suggestions!

i dunno if the moe stock will fit the ics buffer, but the stock can only fit 7.4 or 11.1v 1100 lipo, but you can buy a CTR cheek riser that goes on the stock, that can fit up to a 9.6v 1600mah.

I've only ever heard of LiPos fitting in the buffer tube and I'm not sure if this is compatible with the
moe stock or your gun but the site owner should be able to answer those questions.

thanks for answers! And about the long nimh battery I just did some calculations and it is waaaay too long to fit in a buffer tube :P (around 13 inches I think)
I ll ask the guy thanks again!
I know that I can rewire the gun too. That' s my B plan. ^__^

ICS M4 need ICS buffer tube fit without modification.

As for need to install MOE stock and using regular 9.6 V even the stick type won't fit in it.

You have two option :

First :
-Rewire the gun to the front,
-Get a new buffer tube ( any brand doesn't matter since regular ICS buffer tube is a bit tight on some MOE stock or won't fit ), A small sanding with dremel on the ICS body tube since it's a bit fatter so regular buffer tube won't fit,
-Then you finally can get MOE stock to fit on a new buffer tube.

Second :
-Keep the wire to the rear as it is
-Get a new buffer tube that is specific for Lipo since it has more room for than regular buffer tube,
-Get a tube type Lipo 7.6 V, 20 C rated and a good charger.
-Then purchase the MOE stock.

The MOE stock might not be able to retract to 0 position while your battery in the stock though, be careful not to do it when your battery in there since it might squeeze the battery and damage it.

No matter the brand, it will fit the ICS body?
And the cheek riser might be a good solution, because I am not sure about Lipos, and my internals are stock.
And about cheek riser, is it the big on (50) ore smaller one (25)?

i have an ICS M4 CQBR with a Magpul CTR stock!!! EXTREMELY tight fit - litterally takes 2 people to adjust length. that being said, i just but a split pack 1900mah 7.4v lipo in the hand guard. tight fit but looks sick!!

7.4v lipo's are fine in any gun. heck i even use them in my aep (same exact battery as in my m4) both my aep and m4 have about 40k-50k rounds on stock internals. "lipo" is just a chemestry. they do not posses magical gun destroying powers. they just have alot of current (amps) available. IMHO dont wast your money on any other battery then a Lipo. they are cheap, better performing in summer/winter, better semi auto trigger response (torque from Available Current - "in rush current") as well as give you a WAY better field time between charges.

If you were talking 11.1v LIpo.... then id say avoid until upgraded.

7.4v Lipo.. Best choice ive ever made... now in every gun i own

to the best of my knowledge.. there is no way to put a different buffer tube on ics, aside from welding.. the lower receiver is even different, never mind the buffer tube adapter.

You knowledge is then very limited.

Funky, you can send my a PM if you need how to.

Basically no buffer tube other than ICS will with right away. You need to modify the tube prong on the gun to fit.
Also, most "Lipo" buffer tubes won't fit as the prong on the ICS gun cannot be cut. You also need to use the stock screw to fit is, nothing else is short enough with complete threads.

i have an ICS M4 with that stock attached no issues in fit but mine runs a battery up front

Ive recently picked myself up and ICS CXP and I would actually like to change out the stock on mine aswell to a Magpul UBR.

I have an extra CA buffer tube i'm going to try and put on and i'll have to check out these "tabs" that have to be sanded off.

I plan to keep it a frontwired gun aswell.

Does anyone have any instructions just incase?

The tabs are made tapered in width and thickness.

That means you have to sand then in width and thickness starting about 1/2" from the end of the prong (receiver side)
