Specific V3 AUG Gearbox Part?
I was looking through this thread to fix the problem of semi-auto not working on my AUG.
It appears that this part has been so worn down that the trigger can't 'catch' onto it to fire it in semi-auto instead of full-auto. I've tried shaving part of it down to get that 'grip' back (as the tutorial suggests), but it appears the part really is just too worn down from years of use. So, I'm wondering where I could possibly find a place to get this part in particular to replace my worn down one? Any help would be appreciated, much thanks! |

I had the same problem with my older aug.
I fixed it by using epoxy. Just make add the epoxy to the channel to make it flush across the whole thing. Let it dry. Grind out a new edge for the trigger to catch on. Make sure the new edge is the correct location on the part. if its to far from the edge of the part, it wont fire semi at the first stage of the trigger. If its to near the edge of the part, it will fire before you finish the full pull of the first stage of the trigger. I can take a pic of mine if you want (i would need to take it apart) You can't use a standard v3 part because the aug one is a bit longer.

I went out to buy the epoxy and I applied it onto that part. I'm having a little trouble 'grinding' it out though. What did you use?

That part is sold in a V3 trigger unit.
You can't just get that one, but the whole trigger unit. It's not expensive and usually comes with quality wires pre-attached. |

I have a spare TM Aug trigger switch; contact me.
Otherwise; I believe Echo1 USA sells them aftermarket... might be the only company to do so. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=4029 Last edited by ArcticFox1984; April 14th, 2011 at 21:32.. |

The outer switch is an ad-on.
The inner switch is the same. Basically, the outer switch by-pass the inner one when the trigger is full rear. |

No, the inner switch is different.
You cannot put an AK style trigger group into an AUG. Last edited by ArcticFox1984; April 22nd, 2011 at 14:43.. |
