G&G M16 Firing Problem

Hi guys, i'm stuck with a problem.
I have a G&G M16 R5, just over the weekend the gun stopped working. I've added a new tight bore and changed the hop up bucking as well as the hop up. I've changed the air nosel and the cylinder (although i don't think the upgrades is related to my problem, i could be wrong)

The problem i'm having, i can fire the gun about 3 -5 shots on semi, then the gun stops. I can pull the trigger but no sound from the motor and obviously no bbs coming out. I wait about 5 - 10 minutes, i can shoot 3 - 5 shots again, then it stops. I've swaped the motor out into a different gun, no problems there. I tried changing the battery as well, still the same problem.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

One thing i noticed is the selector switch going to 'safe' takes a little bit more force to move into position, where as moving from semi to auto, its very smooth. Not saying that it won't go into safe, just takes a bit more effort.

Thanks guys.

Pull the mechbox out and reseat it. You may have gotten something caught in the selector/selector plate area as well, check it while it's out.

Thanks Darklen for the suggestion. I've pulled out and re-seated the mechbox a couple of times already. The selector plate does seem to be a little bit loose, like it wiggles freely a couple mms left and right. Do you think that might be causing an issue with it to stop firing? I'll take it apart tomorrow and see if i can tighten down the screw that holds the cut off lever (i think that's what it calls) maybe that will prevent it from moving so much.

What do the contacts look like where the selector plate meets the trigger switch? Were the contacts damaged? That could cause your binding as well. If the selector on the body loose? As far as the firing issue goes, what did you take apart to put the nozzle in? Maybe you got a glob of gear grease on the trigger contact?
