busted oring
I have been gearing up for the new season, I went to oil bath my orings in my pistol mags which were leaking.
This is normally not a problem but as I was putting one mag back together, I managed to pinch the Oring as i slid the bottom of the mag into the main body. Now that oring has been cut and is beyond repair. I am wondering if anyone can direct me to where I could purchase a square Oring for a TM 1911 detonics. I am 99% sure that a standard 1911 oring will work as well. I have tried searching already and I will continue to search on my own, but if someone already knows of a site or manual that can give me the part number, or has the part for sale I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance -JD |

Take it to your local automotive supply store and match the o-ring with something like it. I've done this with my M9 and Tornado and M203 grenades, it works like a charm and is cheap!

I will give that a try my only consern is that the o ring itself is square in shape.

If it is SQUARE and not rectangular you still might find it locally. You can also try some blue gasket maker as well, might work.

I used standard o-rings to fix up my kjw glock mags that were leaking from the base plate. The original seal was a formed squareish seal but the orings worked good.
