Exclamation Help with upgrading Aftermath Broxa Evolution

Well, I ordered an Aftermath Broxa and it's on its way. I've done my research about this gun and I've heard that Aftermath is a company that makes guns with cheap parts and that their crap, but I'm just a beginner with airsoft and this seems to be a gun to get me started. I've also heard that it's compatible with pro-upgrades and Tokyo Marui parts. I don't know much about gearboxes and stuff so I have a few questions.

1. Will all gearboxes work with this gun?
2. If not which ones?
3. Where can I find those?
4. Lastly, which would you recommend?

I'm also trying to find a new hop up unit for this gun. So, I'd like some recommendations for a hop up unit too.

OK I will start by saying this.....

By the time you are finished upgrading this gun the extra cash you spend on the upgrades plus the cost of the gun you could have just bought a better gun to start with.

As for the upgrades...

The gun uses a V2 gearbox so any V2 will work in it
If you replace the hop up then you will also need a new hop up rubber and barrel

Are you planning on doing a complete drop in gear box or just upgrading the internals of the one the gun comes with?

Well, I might just actually change the inner barrel and the hop up rubber.
Would you say a Mad Bull 6.03mm 363mm tb and a Guarder improved hop up set would be a good choice or not?

I'd go with something like a Prometheus NEO Hop up and Prometheus Purple bucking.

As for barrel seems like madbull is a pretty standard upgrade barrel. But if you want the best and are willing to drop money on it (unlikely since you're starting off with a Broxa) then EdGI, Prometheus/Laylax, and PDI make awesome barrels but they're pricey and probably out of your budget. However the Madbull will do.

Also, I've been searching and searching for airsoft stores in Canada for a good gun that would cost that much.

So far:
Buyairsoft.ca
Albertaairsoft.ca
Cabelas.ca
007airsoft.com

airsoftgear.ca, it's local. Pretty central location in Richmond nearby the skytrain station (Richmond Brighouse), and nearby the City Hall/Richmond Centre.

Note that they have an 18+ policy and will only sell to adults. Also you can get your AV done there by Optix (one of the local Age Verifiers).

you can't just change the barrel and rubber without changing the hop up unit in this gun

also if you are over 18 look at getting AVed so you can look at the classifieds here

I have a broxa and have changed out the inner barrel and hopup unit and it works great. The Broxa is one of those flueky guns that if you get one that works it will just keep working and working.

What hop up unit and barrel did you use?
