TM MP5K Receiver damage
Hello,
My TM MP5K receiver has worn down around the selector switch. This has caused me a few issues, mainly the gun not clicking into the proper firing mode without some wiggling. It is the stock plastic receiver. I know I probably a cannot repair the damage (maybe some sort of filler then drill out very shallow divots for the selector switch to click into). I was looking for advise on fixing this, or failing that what receivers I could purchase. Would MP5 - A, SD ect, work for my gun? Any advise appreciated. |

I don't think normal MP5 receivers would work but do not know for sure.
That said, here's a start: http://cgi.ebay.com/Body-Lower-Grip-...item1c1b282dc2 If cannot find new MP5k body, consider hard wiring the gun into full auto and putting a kill switch for safety on the battery line

MP5K uses V3 gearbox. Other MP5 series use V2. So no, you can't use any MP5 body.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

do theese not have a small ball bering and spring behind the fire selector? could it not be the body is not too worn? or if the body is worn, a larger ball or stiffer spring?

try giving the spring a little stretch. If its just a ball than yah possibly a bigger ball but that would involve drilling out the selector.

Yes do not attempt to use an MP5 body as there are way too many differences. V3 vs V2, long vs short motor.
sorry though cant really help on the selector issue i'd say just stick some tape between the switch and the reciever for added friction... |

MP5 lower receivers are NOT restricted... just order a new one overseas...

Thanks for all the help. I will be ordering a replacement TM lower, selector, and most likely a tappet (Just to cover all bases in one shot).
