CA m14 mid caps in G&G m14 not feeding

just got a couple CA mid caps for my m14, out of the box they did not feed properly. BBs would push up and I'd get 3 or 4 shots out of the mag but then the gun would stop firing.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that dumping a bunch of oil down the feeder would help. I did this to no benefit, still wouldn't feed more than the initial 3 rounds.

Upon comparison of the feeder on the top of the mag compared to the G&G hicap that came with the gun, the BB being stopped was far more exposed and higher up in the tube than the CA version.

My solution, disassemble the CA mags and inspect the little nub that locks the BBs from spraying out of the mag.

I took the nub and sanded the bottom part of the nub that makes contact with the BB so it would sit higher in the tube when loaded.

Reassembled the mag, loaded it up and test fired. Feeds beautifully now, I can hold it down in full auto and the whole mag will empty.

Just figured I'd share that with anyone who has heard about shitty mags and the g&g m14. enjoy.
