Dragunov SVD owners.

K well like everyone I want one. I know this thread probly already been posted more than 100 times but what ever..

I looking for anyone who has a photo of a ak47 converted dragunov svd with a scope on it...

The biggest drag about this is that the ak47 converted looks like junk(I've only seen one photo of one) and it looked nasty.

Then there's the rare hard to get G&P dragunov... It looks GREAT!!! but the fact that it dosnt have a hop up is just stupid!!! If I could get one that has a hopup propery built into it and the gun is feild worthy then ya I'd buy one... But I dont think that'll happen.

Would be nice if a airsoft manufacturer would just make a working dragunov and save all the crazy headaches. Who knows when that'll every happen though...

But till the time being, if anyone has a photo of a ak47 converted dragunov post it here, pm it to me or email it to me please..

Thanks

Didnt PDI release a Gas version that was made from real steel parts?
Or is that the G&P you mentioned?

You can put a hopup in the G&P version. Many people have done it.

More info here by DonP

Seen that site.. Dosnt really talk much about the TM Ak and I'm not sure if I'd trust myself putting in a hopup on a GP...

I did find this forum w/ a lot of info on the TM AK
http://www.airsoftcore.com/postp49157.html

Now I just gotta find a conversion kit any idea where I can get my hands on one??

Tru brings them in if I'm not mistaken.
There are other options too as far as buying a seperate custom barrel from red wolf, and a seperate stock that you may find more appealing from one of the other companys out there.
I'll be looking around to see if I like any of the stocks and maybe go that route.
If you don't want any left over parts for the sake of not wasting any you can always just grab a complete v3 mech box and the ak body and build from there.

There's quite a few options and I'm a ways away from starting on mine yet, but I suppose it's always better to check all your options before commiting.

Good luck, n it'd be great to see a finished project when you figure out what you wanna do and go through with it.

PDI made one a few years back... was a killer piece. Not sure if it's still in production, was limited anyways. Not alot around and the price tag is ahh... high.

If you're still interested, the page here has a pic of the TM AK conversion:

http://www.unconventional-airsoft.co...mation/svd.php

My G&P has been an ongoing project for a long, long time. It's just about done though I've taken almost every piece apart several times now to touch or tweak in one way or another.

It's a cool gun, but if you're not handy and don't have your own workshop I'd recommend you stay the hell away from it.

Yea that's why I figgure best for me to stick with the converted ak47. vondnik gave me this site http://www.dragunov.net/romanian_psl.htm and said the converted ak looks more like a Romanian Romak-3 psl rather than a svd.. Still looks like a nice gun, but I'm wondering how loud the mech box is going to be after all the upgrades.

Why dont they release a regular ABS/metal SVD AEG, I bet they would be largely on demand

I've wondered the same thing... or at least a proper conversion kit with the right receiver.

Probably for the same reason they don't release another dozen or so of other AEG's people would kill to get their hands on.
They are already making money off regular AK's. If somone really wants that SVD than person would probably go and get one of those kits.
