Explanation Needed NOW!!!
I think everyone on here deserves an explanation to the previously deleted Tru getting arrestted story. Some people did not get a chance to read that it was a prank before it was deleted. Would a moderator please put an explanation or something together and then maybe lock the thread as I have recieved numerous questions regarding this matter...I dont know why but I have...and Im sure other more experienced players are getting the same responce.
Thank you for your Time! |

Good lord. It was a joke. Tru has not been arrested. This is like that time a bunch of people posted that Hojo got arrested with 3 garbage bags full of weed, because ASC went down for a server upgrade.

I knew it when one of my friend told me about Tru. He was ready to hide his AKs and terrorist stuff
This is ain't funny anymore. When or if it's going to happen for real...

Agree. Joking on touchy subjects like this even on April fools day is not a good idea. And this one sure backfired on the Mods. Consider a lesson learnt for everyone here.

How did it backfire? The gullible people believed it, the rest of us laughed about it, and nothing came of it.

Oh, it backfired alright. That's why the thread was yanked & Punisher became the 411 hotline. I am sure it was funny for some but plain scary for others with vision of black helicopter hovering, blinding search light & heavily armed mask gunmen kicking down the doors to seize their airsoft hardwares in the middle of their wet dreams.

this was a dumb prank...tageting everyone in the community...not a good thing to do when airsoft or "softair" has been in the news so much lately...personally i think it was just plain stupid.

Pranks are pranks. Nothing we can do about it. People will always do things like that.

It was more or less done because the gullible and paranoid freak out at least once a year.
This time, the freakout was sparked (by several parties besides mods alone) to pre-empt the panic-attack that would happen eventually this year - just to let you guys know not to freak out so much. This isn't the first time there's been a "Tru's been arrested" joke. Off the top of my head, it's the 3rd attempt. That's more or less the end of the story. No more, no less. It doesn't seem to get across when we say "don't worry." People seem to remember things better when their emotions get raised. Some people also need to lighten up a bit. When you realize you've been played, laugh it off and loosen up the knot on those panties a bit. Alright, yeah yeah. stupid prank. We'll plan it out better next time. It was a pure spur of the moment, decided and executed in the time span of 30 minutes plan that didn't go over too well... For that, I apologize to everybody who was offended on behalf of all of ASC, especially since I added a fair amount of momentum to that rolling ball... :salute: Just keep in mind that airsoft is still a game and a sport based around HAVING FUN with your friends. I'll leave "being serious" to my career. The last time I checked, ASC wasn't my career. Keep it easy, boys. |

Well in that case, Whatever. Was a good chuckle.
Next question. Snake01, Part of the prank or just plain fucking stupid? |

the latter.
It would still be nice if he wouldn't argue with those who are more knowledgeable than him. But I think he learned his lesson when the second customs officer essentially told him "no." I just had to play on the fact that he started backpeddling when the customs officer started querying on who exactly was selling in Canada. And Zero Delay: Just so it's clear, what happened with Peter Kang was not a joke. He admitted himself what he did and started doing a dance around the whole subject by bringing up idea after idea in an effort to divert attention. His posts have been archived if you really need to see quotes. |
