Exclamation Looking for a handgun.

Hey everyone im currently looking for a trusty sidearm to go with my new vfc scar l. I am looking at the WE desert warrior 4.3 from ehobby asia and the TM desert warrior 4.3 from ehobby asia as well. To get them in canada through a broker its gonna cost 337 for the tm and 313 for the WE. What do u guys think of these guns?

For that price difference, I'd take the TM. WE pistols aren't anything to brag about.

I've seen TM pistols run thousands of rounds stock on propane... WE not so much

Through a "broker", so a smuggler? Haha off topic sorry. WE pistols are shitty toys, have play all over the place and are just an overall let down. Value for money? KJW pistols. They are a better taiwan brand, WAY better than WE. KJW make a bunch of nice .45 if that is what you are looking for. TM are nice but are plastic, I started on TM pistols so I don't hate but if you want to use propane the slide WILL crack eventually.

I've seen maybe 2 or 3 WE pistols that haven't sucked balls. The rest leak, vent randomly, and have a host of other problems.

My vote goes for either TM, KJW, or KWA/KSC as a "workhorse" pistol that will work fine OOTB and should require little regular maintenance and less repairs over the long run.

Don't get me wrong, WE is cool for a display piece or something that is more for looks of the loadout than actual performance but if you want something reliable that will 99.9% of the time work when you pull it out to engage below your rifle's MED's then don't get a WE.

A Marui 4.3 slide will not crack under propane. At least I've never seen nor heard of it happening.

It happens more with the Hi-Capa 5.1 slide.

My WE P14 has become my workhorse. Both of my TM g17 and g18 have issues that I need fixed but the p14 has gone strong. Aside from a loose slide, the only thing that needed tweaking was the hopup with a new rubber. Uses TM hi capa mags and it's compatibles.

I've had a few WE 1911s and liked em. I have a WE DW4.3 and have mixed feelings about it: it's okay but needed work (dremeling) to get running smoothly, new inner barrel, spring set, piston head. I definitely wouldn't pay $300+ for it.

Your comment about "carbon fiber": wtf? TM guns are ABS.

In a similar size and all metal, one clone I've been extremely impressed with so far is the HK3 PX4. Impressed enough that I thought it deserved the ³H sights.

If you can, try to get in touch with an age-verifier in your province.

Once you got through all that you'll be able to access more sources for Airsoft.

Unfortunately a RPAL will not allow you to import most airsoft pistols as they are classified as prohibited devices since they do not meet the requirements to be imported as unregulated firearms.

Unless it has a transparent frame then it is not legal for importation.

For the prices you have been quoted only the TM is reasonable, for the WE that's a bit high.

TM is the best out there, and arguably KSC, i would either go with TM or KSC, TM maybe made of ABS plastic but they are crazy sturdy, and also they make a great upgrade platform after it breaks, WE on the other hand, breaks u gota get a new one or get proprietary parts so WE is a nononononono

For whats it worth. 4 hour road trip is a fair deal for what the classifieds have to offer.

For a WE You shouldn't be looking at anything higher than $250 max. I got mine for $200 (after bargaining nonetheless lol)
