Deciding on Airsoft gun

Hey guys, I've had a crappy walmart airsoft gun for years and have decided it is time for an upgrade! I really like the look of m4 variants. From what i have looked at, these are the guns i have narrowed it down to.

G&G M4 Light MAX:
https://www.buyairsoft.ca/review/pro...52/category/38

G&G M4 Carbine:
https://www.buyairsoft.ca/gandg-m4-carbine.html

G&G M4 Blowback:
https://www.buyairsoft.ca/gandg-m4-blowback-1.html

G&G seems to be a reputable company and is decently priced. As of now i am thinking i should purchase the G&G M4 Light Max, but i am a bit worried it will be to small. What do you guys think is the best bang for my buck? Are there other guns at this price range that you would recommend? Thanks!

Age verified + Classifieds = Better guns in that price range.

Do yourself a favour, read the FAQs. Find a local AV rep and get AV'd then find something on the classifieds.

You'll thank yourself.

^Beat me to it^

Id get AV'd first and see what pops up in the Sales thread. But if you want an opinion from those three Id go Carbine. Long enough to be fun outdoors as well as short enough to use for indoors. The Light is pretty short imo, not saying you couldn't use it outdoors but I prefer a larger rifle for that type of play. Also see if you can't get out to a game to try out some, after all you don't want to spend $300+ on something that is uncomfortable/awkward to play with.

The light is the same size as my G&P M4A1. 10.5" barrel, more than enough for out door play and great for crashing through bush. I don't try to push it much past 150ft when I'm in the clear shooting at people.

That being said, I bought my G&P for $350 used with upgraded internals. So...$6 more than the G&G and a much better gun.

The blow back model. Avoid.
Blow back = greater chance for something to break. Most people who've had a blow back gun disable the blow back feature.

As for the "size" of the gun. The stock is adjustable, it'll fit almost any body type/size.

Stay away from G&G, do yourself that favor.

Honestly I don't think G&G is that bad. It's replaced classic army as the golden standard, and IMO it's BETTER than classic army.
In the last few years they really upped their game. Their mechboxes are and were always TM spec, unlike classic army which is just slightly off spec.
Their bodies are decent quality and highly compatible.
And their internals are pretty comparable to CA standard as far as reliability, but like I said, TM spec so super easy to upgrade.

I wouldn't get any blowback models, but their standard stuff makes for good starter guns.
Also +1 to king arms, they're also quite good.

This is currently the best deal out there. But you need to be age verified to get it.

I could not disagree with that more. I think G&G has just flooded the market so people have come to accept it as the new level of quality. While true that are " not that bad" that are not that good either.

You can polish a turd but its still a piece of shit. There are many better options for the same price as a G&G.

I also would not put G&G on the level of Classic Army. Internals may be more "TM spec" but CA bodies are still far nicer than G&G ones, especially for the price. My CA guns have been among the best stock guns I've owned. I wasn't overly impressed with g&g. They may be improving but i still think there are better guns for the price.

I also wouldn't buy from buyairsoft.

the clear body cheapo cnd standard G&G's suck balls compared to others available ..

the metal bodied MAX series however are actually worth having a look at depending on the price point you can find them at..

the King arms M4 people mentioned is a MUCH better choice and a much better gun for the cash.

oh.. and buyairsoft.ca = no no no .. look around harder you'll find WAY better choices across canada and google will find them for you ...

Buyairsoft isn't bad if that's your only option however it's not the best place either.

Also I liked how they dealt with the latest kid and airsoft incident and if they truly do follow through with what they say then I think it's an alright store with alright management.

As for my opinion of G&G. It's alright but not great. A better buy would be a King Arms M4 or maybe something by VFC or G&P (love their externals but even Element gears are better than the stock G&P ones ಠ_ಠ ...).

If you want an M4 get a King Arms, best bang for your M4 buck. Top notch externals with full trades and solid Marui compatible internals right out of the box.

I would recommend you stay away from blowback AEG's especially G&G. They're unsatisfying and unnecessarily noisy.
