If your going to use a PDI 10mm outer diameter barrel you also need to get the PDI hop up chamber because these barrels are only compatible with AEG hop up rubbers. If you decided to stick with the VSR hop up chamber dont forget to order the right barrel spacers.
When I built my VSR I want for a Prometheus 6.03 barrel. Cheaper than a PDI and it still has assume performance. |

Where have you seen this? I haven't come across that anywhere.

I had an edgi barrel, where it had two diameters, where the smaller diameter were at the ends to fit into the hopup and out the endcap if necessary. I'm not sure whether the pdi barrel is thinner at the ends.

That is also the case with PDI's barrel.
Secondary setup thoughts: TM VSR-10 pro PDI Precision Cylinder SET/ VC PDI V-trigger 4x PDI Barrel Spacers for bull barrel PDI fluted bull barrel G PDI bull barrel base 303mm tighbore ( PDI 6.01 or 6.05, or Prommy 6.03?) PDI VSR 280 spring PDI VSR 330 spring This will resemble http://www.x-fire.org/vsr10/e.vsr_bull_barre_g.html I've always been partial to the shorter barrel look, but am concerned that pursuing looks will effect accuracy/range.

Bull barrels are nice, but you will remove them after a few games.
The L or P versions are about as heavy as THE REST OF THE RIFLE by themselves. The G version is manageable though. I really recommend you to get the lightweight version of what ever barrel you want. They are cheaper, a LOT lighter and look the same (aside from fluting). I would also go with Promy 6.03 tightbore over the PDI one. I tried the 6.01 and 6.03s... they are VERY tight. So tight that they become useless on the field. Anything that gets in the mag well will jam a BB in the barrel (we are talking dust here). They are perfect in a controlled environment, but for field use, stick with 6.03. It's better to have a rifle with 2" larger grouping at 150' that always shoots vs. a rifle you have to carry in a sealed plastic bag. The PDI AEG hop-up is nice, but never as consistent as the stock TM hop-up. You could also simply order the new TM precision hop-up set. It comes with a very good 6.03 brass barrel (brass is softer, but a lot more slippery than steel...better for a smooth bore barrel). |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

+1 to prometheus (PSS10) 6.03mm barrel. 6.01's are just for velocity, they get dirty too quickly and it really affects the accuracy.
Get a firefly hop rubber, they're the best. If you're going for 450-470, use .36g BBs If you want to use .30s, then get in the 410-440 range |
