installing motor help

Hey so when it comes to upgrades and internals I'm the biggest noob not gonna lie haha. So I got a g&p 120 motor for my dboys kac pdw. When I put the motor in and hook up the battery and all I hear is like a "vvvvvv" sound. Any suggestions?

Adjust your motor height, sound like your motor is not touching the gears.

adjust the motor height. Pinion gear hasn't made contact with the bevel gear yet. Turn it up.

Eeyore always beat me to it.

A medium motor is what you need. So you just could get a long one and cut it down because I do not think there is a 120 medium.

Long motor, dremel with cut off wheel and hard stone grinder, and a D pinion with a set screw.

Don't throw out that motor! Don't worry. You can use it.

Just get a new grip. That's what I did with my PDW. Check it out:

This one has the G&P M170 in it, long type.

edit: I should add that in many many cases, on the classifieds, in people's spare parts bins, etc, you can either get grips for free or as little as 3 bucks. Don't need to spend much.
