KingArms M4 RIS/RAS

Anyone know of a certain RAS/RIS kit that will adapt onto my KingArms M4 without any modifications?

If so, where can i purchase one?

If your KingArms is front wired then you are looking at the CAS-V or the Magpul Moe handguard. If it is rear wired, then any RAS will work.

To add: If you have the technical know-how you can convert your M4 to be rear wired (if it is front wired) which means almost any TM-based RIS/RAS will be compatible.

I'm not sure that's correct. (specifically this post...but also the others that say "any")

True...that if you re-wire your mechbox to the rear, then you have a much wider range of forend choices.

Not true...that almost any TM-based RIS/RAS forends will work with the King Arm delta ring.

Compare pictures of TM vs. CA/KA/G&P/RS delta rings...the shape/configuration differences are obvious.

That said...if you're using RIS/RAS setups that replace the delta ring with a proprietary barrel nut (i.e. DD, Noveske, Viking, etc...) then all you need be concerned with is ensuring that the receiver threads and the barrel nut match. There are two major threads used...one that can be rethreaded to the other with a proper tool. Different manufactures of different forenends/delta rings use and have different threading. Some manufacturers have put out extra barrel nuts to match the other threading (i.e. MB DD barrel nut for RS/PTW/etc threading).

Just my own $0.02 guys....while it's helpful to keep things simple for new guys, it's more effective to be a bit more complete in what you're suggesting. If you know specifically...then chime in. The (paraphrase) "I put a MB Diablo on my KA M4, the threading worked perfectly...no issues" is helpful.

If you're taking wild ass guesses (there's been a lot of that recently) or making large/wide assumptions then give it a second thought...'cause it may cause more confusion than not for someone who doesn't know enough to pick out those differences.

Good point. Well yeah, my rail threaded on with no problems. Here is a pic of it.. a little old but you get the idea. Basically only the reciever, gearbox shell and motor grip are stock in this picture:

True, I forgot about the Imperial vs Metric argument. In any case best bet would be to walk into a store and ask the tech there. More often than not they'll help figure out how/what to fit on there to make things work.

A magpul MOE handguard will fit with no issues.
