Question about goggles...somewhat made in China
So during my adventure or misadventure to P Mall today, one of the stores sold an ESS goggle for 60 buckeroos, I said the other stores had it for way more than that and why theirs were so cheap. I was told theirs had legit ESS lenses but the frame were clones from China. I guess I shouldn't really be asking since I do enjoy have vision.... but is it gameable?

Time to find out, get your gun and shoot it a few times and see how it holds up.

It may be your last piece, but its your MOST important one. I'd recommend not taking any chances. Get the real deal.

If I were you I would check for any ANSI serial number, any legit tactical goggles especially ESS would have the number laser engraved to the lense and as a back up you should also purchased a approved paintball goggles like the JT thermal Flex just in case the place you play in does not allow tac glasses. Depending what your face structure is usually Bolle will have gaps so make sure you try it first and make sure that there are no gaps, I'm Asian and when I used to wear Bolle it leave a sizeable gap in between the nose big enough that a stray bbs can get in, I chucked my bolle in favor of the ESS bullet Ant.

I wouldn't trust a vendor in pacmall to give me the proper time. I don't expect them to sell me legit product.
If you're looking for asian fit stuff, my asian fit ess goggles came from http://www.safetyglassestoday.com/es...t-goggles.html you can also order asian fit revision goggles like the locust. If you got a small head and no glasses, I recommend the ess nvgs... strykers are huge. Last edited by lurkingknight; May 30th, 2012 at 12:56.. |

Not long ago I witnessed goggle frame shattering into pieces. Must have been from the same breed.
Don't cheap out on eye protection dude. |

I have 1 question...
why would anyone even consider buying clone safety equipment? why would you seek to "save money" in buying suspect gear.. and put your vision at risk? what possible thought process comes up with this as a "good idea"
