Wink Starting gun: King Arms M4 AEG or Classic Army M15A4?

Already have:
Eye protections (Revision Sawfly and Revision Desert Locust)
Boots
BDU
Tactical vest (OTV are too hot right? Maybe I should get a LBV 88?)
Gloves
Knee and elbow pads

Going to get:
Airsoft gun
BBs
Magazines
Speedloader (not sure if that is useful?)
Battery
Charger
Sling (not sure?)
Mouth protection (not sure either?)
Anything else that is important?

I am now looking at a King Arms M4 AEG and the Classic Army M15A4. The prices are close (should they be?). Because I really don't know much about airsoft guns, I want to learn something about different brands. I know there is a good thread comparing AEG Brands , but sadly that didn't cover the King Arms. As M4 of both brands are being recommended as starting gun, it would be really helpful if anyone can give some comparison between these two models or these two brands. If there are any other comparing AEG Brands thread, that would be great too.

And the AR-15 magazines for most big brands are interchangable, right?

Thank you very much!

I am already 22, but not age verified yet.
I think I will just learn more about airsoft before getting verified and start buying.

You might wanna get a sidearm like a pistol with that.

IMO, CA has the better externals, but KA has the better internals. If you want a gun that you can just literally pick up and never screw with for a long time, the KA is your best bet. If you're looking to build off an upgrade platform, I'd recommend the CA.

Mags are typically interchangeable, but there's always a few brands that don't like each other for some reason.

IOTVs are way too big. The 88 is fine, but you may want to get something that you can modify for your needs (read: MOLLE compatible). There are shit tonnes of different kinds of vests out there.

Most GBB pistols I saw so far are too expensive for their use.

King Arms all the way - I'm new as well and after trying a few other rifles out, I'm so very glad I went that route. It feels solid, has a nice shooting cycle, the price is right and looks awesome

Mind you, I ran right out and bought a 2nd right away...but that's just me OCD'ing on airsoft. Shit happens. LMAO.

Thanks, that is really helpful.

I guess I will go read some threads about upgrading to see if that is my cup of tea and then choose between KA and CA.

For the vest, I probably going to get a Woodcamo FLC vest, which is really cheap, MOLLE compatible, and I can "borrow" the pouches from my OTV for it.

speedloader for mid caps and low caps are essential... you don't want to hand load 120 rounds in each mag.

unless you realcap... then you're hardcore if you load by hand.

lowcaps and midcaps are essential for playing milsim.

There's little point in carrying 3 or 4 highcaps unless you like doing the chacha.

Sling is not necessary unless you need to go hands free... it becomes more necessary when you need to draw a pistol.

Slings are nice though cause you can just let the gun hang off your body while you walk... say back to respawn and give your arms a break.

Thanks. I am not that hardcore.
120-130 rounds are mid caps, right? what is the rough range for low caps?

real to 2x real capacity is a general estimate.

I guess I will stick to mid caps, probably only one High cap (the one my gun will come with).

King Arms M4 is currently the best buy available. The gun has superb externals and excellent internals as well and the current prices are retarded low.

People just starting out do not need a sidearm. Some people don't use them at all.
