Need info on gears/gearbox stuff.
Do AEGS use a standard sized/shaped set of gears? I was looking at some gear sets by SHS and Systema, and I wondered if they would work in the version 3 gearbox the Umarex/Ares G36 has. (This gun DOES use a V3 gearbox, right?)

G36 does use a V3 mech box. V2 and V3 mech boxes use the same gears.
Buy a set of shims...you won't need them all, but it sucks when you don't have the right ones |

SHS. They're cheaper and offer better bang for your buck. You'll also notice gear ratios. Lower the gear ratio the faster it will spin (resulting in higher ROF), the high the ratio the slower it will spin but will result in more available torque to pull back a spring. Generally 18:1 is standard gear ratio 16:1 is speed (13:1 is ultra speed) and 21:1 is torque
