Legal Issues

Hey guys, I'm looking for some info about airsoft guns having to be tinted or black or whatever... I've heard that a gun that's lower than 430 fps with .2's has to have a tinted lower receiver to get into the country and everything else can be black, I've heard that the coulor doesn't matter as long as you can get it into the country (and I've heard lots of different things about importing too) and lots of other random things from sources that I thought were reliable. If someone would help clear that up for me that would be awesome.

Sticky, pretty accurate still, in this forum section. Get reading.

366fps-507fps is the importable range. Full black is legal. etc.

You have heard wrong. Unfortunately, that's all I can help you with since you need to be age verified to know any more.

I thought airsoft guns are exempt from being prohibited if they are considered uncontrolled firearms, or is this info AV`d only.

They are not exempt of anything. A cop seeing you with one would have full discretion on what to do with it, depending on a lot of factors. A CBSA agent would have his say on the border for importation purpose as well, although there are more specific rules to dictate how they should approach this.

Guys seriously get age verified, you'll be happy you did
