[Info] - Foreign airsoft player in vancouver
Hi All,
I decided to put this information here in the newbie section, due the fact that I couldn't identify an specific section for my situation. I am sorry, if posting in here represents a mistake for you. Thanks in advance, Cheers Obs: I know there's a lot of information in the forum, belive, I checked it before. I am creating this post here today, because I walked a lot today to find a vancouver store and when I arrived there, the address do not match with the information that is available in the site. Like it? :-? Last edited by fabiodutra; March 30th, 2017 at 16:52.. |

Is the one physical store you found on Downtown? Or Broadway Street? Or in Richmond?

Unfortunately, we are not supposed to give store names outside the age verified zone... I am not sure if I am allowed to give store name that can also do age verification.

If the store in DT starts with "Camo" then don't buy from there, they're alright products but IMO not the best prices (partly due to costs of operating a business in Downtown) and also airsoft is a side thing for them so aren't the most knowledgeable on stuff.
I will give you the name of "Airsoft Gear" in Richmond (owner is an AV rep and also only sells to 18+ and has additional securities in addition to the ASC AV system for physical in store purchases). If you take the Canada line sky train to Richmond Brighouse station (end of the line, don't take the one to YVR, skytrain forks at the River Rock Casino) and walk south about 3 or 4 blocks (long Richmond blocks) you will see Richmond Centre mall and Richmond City hall, across the street is the Airsoft Gear store (next to a cafe called "Nooch" which has pretty good food as well).

Guys log out of the thread so your age verification privilege won't let you see the classifieds. Then click the retailer tab or click through the pages and you'll see the ads for airsoft stores in Canada.
It's up to the store to vet the buyers as they walk in the door. In fact two of the stores there have a verifier on site. I can't recall which though. Took so long to write this one of the blanks got filled in right above me.

Camouflage on Granville is pretty overpriced in regards to their airsoft gear, but I got my Condor Softshell there for super cheap.
If you're living in the downtown core, shoot me a PM, I live and work between davie and robson. Most of my friends out here are brazilian, strangely enough. Something about Vancouver must attract your countrymen.

I should answer your other 2 questions as well.
Airsoft Gear does rentals, IIRC $60 gets you full day rental, hicap, goggles, field fee paid, and BBQ at end of the day. Also games hosted regularly on the weekends at 2 main venues; Panther Paintball in Surrey (near truck border crossing, not as accessible via public transit), and the other being Tsawwassen Paintball (easy to access via bus, it's about a 10 min walk from the bus stop so I'm told). Op-For Airsoft Club is the site you're going to want to visit, join them, introduce yourself and you'll see the game postings, say that you want to join and if you need loaner or rental and just show up on the day of (field fee for Panther is $11.20 ($10+$1.20 tax) and Tsawwassen is $15 field fee (Just $15 flat)).

I am assuming you are in Vancouver itself, if you do not have a car you are pretty much out of luck. You can get to Airsoft Gear pretty easily, but you will something to get your purchase home, a large duffel bag would be best.
Getting to Tsawwassen by transit is doable but takes a lot of planning. |
