KWA KP45 NS2 not firing a BB on every shot

Got myself a second hand KWA KP45 NS2 today.
Fires gas on every shot just doesn't fire a shot on ever pull.
It appears to be loading as when it decides to fire after a couple of miss fires there are 2-3 BB's flung out the end.
Does this sound like just the bucking or is it possible there is an air flow restriction somewhere?

Sounds like the hopup is set too high or the rubber has swelled perhaps from silicone oil.

I'd also make sure the nozzle is seating properly. Check that the slide comes all the way forward, etc.

Aye... stripped it down and pulled the hop up out. Looks like the previous owner put the barrel in wrong and caused the hop up to be jammed in high.
I "think" the rubber might be OK. Set it back to low and will test again when I get some more gas.

Thanks

Is this the correct bucking for this pistol?

I'm having the exact same problem with my ns2 usp compact. I've taken it apart a few times. Can't tell if the hop up is swollen or not. When I use the tool and adjust the hop up, the entire rubber rotates with the teeth, moving the nub from 12 oclock to another position. The gun dry fires ever few shots.

Yeah, mine is doing that too.. the entire bucking twists when adjusted. I put it back in correctly and left it set to the lowest hop. Need to see if that does the trick, however the person before me clearly did not look after the pistol and chewed the rubber up quite a bit. Need gas to test so not sure if putting it back in correctly will be enough to solve the issue or if I need a new bucking

The bucking is replaced but the gun is not loading a shot after the first shot. It appears the slide isn't going back far enough to load the next shot. Mag is full of gas, everything appears to be moving ok.
Help?!

If you're not getting hard blowback I would be looking at the loading nozzle and internal valve.

What exactly am I looking for? When I pull it all apart everything looks clean and clear.

Edit: the reset lever (part 28) has the tip ground off. Could that be causing the problem?

Well sometimes nozzles have hairline cracks that completely screw up the gun regarding th gas system. I just replaced a nozzle in a TM 1911 that looked fine, but after replacement the gun ran nice and crisp again. The original problem was weak blowback and bad gas efficiency.

So, I found that if I push the mag up into the pistol while firing it works perfectly! As soon as I stop putting upward pressure on it the slide doesn't go far enough back to shoot. Would this be fixed by putting in a new magazine catch?

If the magazine catch is worn it will definitely help, otherwise you might have to shim it so the mag sits higher.

Here is a video of what its doing when shooting.

It is only firing a BB when I rack the slide by hand.

Looking at my video vs other videos, its not cocking all the way back to reset the hammer.
What would cause that?

Like I said before, bad nozzle.
