Want to get a m203 for my m4
I own a G&G gr16-r4(for sale) and i wanna get a m203 grenade launcher. the thing is i like the ones that look like this:
but since i have the rail people have been telling me i can only get the one that looks like these with the 2 screws on the side (ew) the reason i want the first one is because its hugging on to the barrel and i think it looks much cooler. BTW is it worth 350$ rangersairsoft is charging because i am SOOOOOO gonna get one this week |

You can get either one. U will need to do some simple mods to make it work with the RIS but its simple.

Get the m203 and you take off the lower RIS panel and then you will see how its fits. Everybarrel system is a bit different. Not sure what the barrel is like on the G&G and how the RIS is mounted.

You may have to grind off part of the underside of the RIS near the delta ring. It's a little tough to explain really. It'd be easier to just show you.
My suggestion is to skip that shitty RIS mounted version and make the barrel mounted version work.

the regular style m203 looks way better than the r.i.s. style, when mounted on the M4. the G&G barrel does not have the mounting lugs, that those little notches on the back of the m203 fit around. on my sr16 (with G&G barrel ) extensive mods were needed to make it fit right, and to keep the r.i.s. mounted solidly. having said that, it was worth the extra trouble.
mods needed on mine: 1) drill and tap holes for cap screws on each side of barrel, to provide mounting lugs. 2) flip rear r.i.s. mount 180 degrees. (front to back). drill and tap barrel to secure. 3) machine the mounting area of the m203 to allow it to slip over the barrel from below ( quick release style ) and over the installed mounting lugs. 4) add gb-tech quick release mount on the front of m203. the above mods make for a quick detatch m203 that is solid and works perfectly. if you have not purchased your m203 yet, it MAY be easier to go with the style that uses a barrel adaptor ( instead of the marui, notch mount style ) check into this. ( i think this is the one that Agit-Prop used on his sr16) |

just curious why you're looking into getting an m203 for a gun which you're planning on selling...
For the most hassle-free M203 add-on, just slap on a G&P Military-Type M203 on to a G&P gun. The barrels are one-piece, and as long as it uses the standard delta ring, it just drops right in. |
