Toronto airsoft screw up?

Just bought a smart charger and battery from Toronto airsoft.
Here is a picture of what it came with.... Am I missing something here what is the black connecter suppose to plug into??? He said all I need is this battery and this smart charger kit. Every video I watch online says you need the balance charger connection whitch is there but not the basic charger plug in (black one on the battery. Am I missing something, how do I use this thing.
Did they not include the proper wiring harness I needed. ? Any help is very appreshiated.
The battery was 35$ (lipo)
Charger 75$ ( intelligent balance charger) ev650a
Quattro

From your picture it appears that the charger does not come with a lead for the connector type on your battery (Tamiya of some sort I'd guess).

My recommendation is to switch your gun and battery to Deans. But if you don't want to go that route you'll need an adapter.

EDIT: If the salesman said these two items would work together then TA needs to supply the correct lead (banana plugs to Tamiya) or a Deans to Tamiya adapter. Just email or call them to resolve it.

I do not have that model of charger, i have a cheaper one that charges thru the balance leads, is it possible that yours works this way?

The adaptor block above the one with alligator clips is the balancer connector. it's a multi-connector that will allow you to charger lipo's in 2cell, 3cell, 4cell etc...

Plug the balance adaptor into the charger and the battery into that.

Not all chargers charge lipo's via both the balancer and power connectors.

My madbull charger only charger only charges through the balancer connector. My other smart charger requires both the deans and balancer connectors attached to even begin.

Consider changing your gun/battery to deans, it's a superior connector type. If not, get an adaptor as per dustmagnet. You can buy adaptors/connectors and have them switched at your local hobby shop, RC car/plane etc.

If you can get the alligator clips to grip the terminals on the battery that will work too.

Just went out to select paintball/ airsoft for the adapter, looks like TA owes me 30$ in gas and 7$ for the adapter.

impatient people want everything NOW.

Most people just switch to deans for the better connection

good luck with that. had you not been impatient, it would have only been $4.95 which they might have just given you for making a simple mistake.
