Noveske Rail wrench
I turns out I need one of these tools to remove the nut in my Socom Gear Noveske M4.... sigh...
Does anyone know where can I get one? or is there any gun doc in my area who can help me out ? What I want to do is to put a new steel outer barrel to my gun. Thanks

If you can't find one, you can try putting the bolts for the rail onto the nut and then gently tapping them tangent to the nut to loosen.
Another strategy is to simply attach the rail to the nut, then use that as leverage to loosen the nut. Do NOT fasten the rail bolts fully as they will begin to engage the outer barrel past a certain point. Make sure that the bolts are threaded sufficiently as not to damage the threads. |

As stealth said...stick one of the nuts in to use for leverage. You can also use a strap wrench.
If you're really stuck I can help you. |

don't know if this is considered good practice, but all i do is leave the Noveske rail on, loosen the allen bolts and bring the rail forward on the Noveske barrel nut so that the rail can turn free of the pin on the receiver and tighten again, mount a vertical grip on the top and bottom mounts of the rail itself close to the receiver and hold the gun stationary by pinning the butt-stock between my feet and righty-tighty lefty-loosey.. lots of leverage that way.
