Or you could just use paracord.

It might look tacky, but it works, and it works well.

Ya just gott learn how to tie a knot properly.
Also i think all the uber leet special forces guys make a tonne of gear outta paracord and duct tape. Magpulls how many people use those theese days. All started with some paracord and duct tape.
The sling mounts and sling on my bolt action ars made out of a simaler material to paracord nust a lil thicker. Put loops on the rifle and braided a sling.
Function befor fashion if u ask me.
Also i sbould mention im not knocking yer mod it works tho id probably ad a nut to the other end of the bolt holding the sling mount.
The only real issue is that most aegs this wont work on due to the cap being plastic.

The position of that sling point being a rigid fixed point would annoy me if it was even remotely close to rubbing my hand.

Para cord... Parachute cord... just saying

Knots have been known to support a lot heavier than your airsoft M4!

Wouldn't trust your 6-10lb rifle on a 550lb strength cord?

Hm.

awe man u mean my duct tape and toilet paper roll holster is tacky too

like I said before I don't trust the knot.... being wet or to dry can change the tightnes of it so I would rather not.

because he doesn't know that the right knots are strong enough to support a climbers body weight which is far more than his 10lb rifle and is worried that the knot tightness will be a problem when it's wet or dry...

ultimately, get a knot wet, pull it tight and let it dry and it'll stay nice and tight unless you have a slip knot. I have a simple over-under loop on my WE PDW as the front sling point. been that way since the rail attached sling point broke on me at the start of a 24 hr milsim.
